She was adopted by an aunt, Mabel Kimbal and her husband, James Mayette. She graduated from Montpelier High School and Vermont Junior College. In 1955, she married Wayne L. Miles. They lived all over the world while Mr. Miles was in the Air Force and moved to Montpelier in 1975. She was employed as a secretary by the Johnson Artesian Well Co. in Montpelier. They had lived in Lebanon since 1993. Survivors include her husband; a son, James; a daughter, Sherri Miles; two grandchildren; a brother; two sisters; several nieces and nephews.

, 83, of Barre, died July 4. Born in 1913 in St. Johnsbury, she was the daughter of Ludger and Georgianna (Bussiere) Gosselin. She attended schools in St. Johnsbury. In 1941, she married Hector J. Boudreau, who died in 1983. In 1967, she began working at the J.J. Newberry Store. She was a member of St. Monica Parish. Survivors include one son, Norman; a daughter, Susan (Mrs. Douglas) Spaulding; four grandchildren; a sister.

Dalley Sr. She spent her life as a homemaker and parent and was a member of the South Duxbury Church. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Lori Collins; three sons, James Jr. , Gary and Mike; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters; four brothers; nieces and nephews.

, 82, of Randolph, died July 11. Born in 1914 in East Brookfield, she was the daughter of Arthur J. and Bessie (Kendall) Wheatley. She graduated from Randolph High School and Johnson Normal School and taught in Randolph. In 1934, she married Erwin H. Davis, who died in 1975. She taught piano and played with several orchestras and was church organist. Prior to retirement in 1976, she worked at the Gary Home and Rahabilitation, the Sheltered Workshop and the Fish & Game Department, all in Montpelier, and at the Perkins School in Lancaster, MA. Survivors include three daughters, Joan Moran, Linda Nissl and Patricia Bradshaw; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

, 94, of Northfield, died July 10. Born in 1903 in Royalton, she was the daughter of Don C. and Nettie (Luce) Gifford. She attended schools in East Bethel and Brookfield, graduated from Randolph High School and attended Randolph Normal School. She taught elementary school for more than 45 years, having taught in Randolph, Randolph Center and East Randolph, Brookfield and East Brookfield. She retired in 1968. In 1923, she married Edward Harrington, who died in 1979. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Royalton. Survivors include two sons, Gifford and Dean; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a niece.

He invented the "rear shutter" for the commercial motion picture projector in 1929. He was co-owner and co-founder of New England's first drive-in theater in Mass. He was a musician, touring throughout Vermont, New England and Canada. He settled in Massachusetts where he established his own business, Massachusetts Theater Equipment Co. His wife, Mary (Morizzi) Comi, is deceased. Survivors include his children, Paul, Alfred and Diane; cousins.

She graduated from Northfield High School and attended Bay Path Institute in Hartford, Conn. In 1942, she married Robert Gillespie, who died in 1962. They purchased McGrattan Fuel Co. in Northfield and operated it as Gillespie Fuels. After her husband's death, she continued to operate the business, retiring in 1984. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Karen (Mrs. Reed) Korrow and Marianne (Mrs. Donald) Davidson; two sisters; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Plastics in Bethel and retired from Petco Oil Co. in South Royalton. Survivors include a niece, Pam Salls; two nephews, Tim Renehan and Sean Renehan.

She graduated from Mount St. Mary's Academy in Burlington and attended Kimball Secretarial School in Lowell, Mass. In 1929, she married Thomas F. McSorley, who predeceased her. She was an accomplished pianist and taught piano lessons. She also was an artist. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia A. O'Brien; a son, Brian; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She also sold cosmetics for the Mary Kay Co. She was a member of St. Anthony Church. Survivors include a son, Michael; two daughters, Patricia Thompson and Mary Scholl; three brothers; a sister; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He served with the Army during WWII. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1966 as a mail carrier. He continued to work for Montpelier High School in the hot lunch program. He was a member of Christ Church (Episcopal). Survivors include three cousins, Raymond Sabin, Richard Sabin and Kenneth Sabin; two nephews.
