Survivors include her husband, Paul Cushman; two daughters, Mary Jean Holt and Laura Mirabel; four sons, Philip, Kenneth, Robert and Jon; three sisters; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

, 78, of Hancock and formerly of Randolph, died April 5. Born in 1918 in Randolph, he was the son of Alan and Dora (Fay) Darrah. He was educated in Rochester schools and Vermont Agricultural College in Randolph Center. During WWII, he served with the Army. In 1946, he married Evelyn Brown. He was a supervisor at Weyerhauser Company in Hancock. Survivors include his wife; a son, Terrence; two daughters, Candace McGrath and Nancy Shaw; four grandchildren; three brothers; three sisters; several nieces and nephews.

, 84, of Randolph, died April 4. Born in 1912 in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of Frank and Catherine Trimp. In 1954, she married Phillip Emmons. They moved to Randolph in 1982. She had been employed as a secretary at Watson Metal Products Co. in New York. Survivors include her husband.

, 70, of Barre, died April 4. Born in 1926 in Martinsville, Quebec, he was the son of Alphonse and Antoinette (Levesque) Beaudoin. He attended Holy Ghost School in Graniteville. He served with the Marines and after returning to Barre, worked at the Rock of Ages. In 1976, he married Kathryn Marsha Cheever. He was a member of St. Monica Parish. Survivors include his wife; four stepdaughters, Sharon (Mrs. Ronald) Shepard, Susan (Mrs. Roland) Tousignant, Ann Thygesen and Lisa Cheever; three stepsons, John Cheever Jr., Mark and Stephen; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters; nieces and nephews.

, 76, of Warren, died April 14. Born in 1920, she was the daughter of Ruth (Robinson) and Ernest Brooks. She attended schools in Warren and Waitsfield. In 1940, she married Merrill Kathan, who died in 1993. She became a homemaker and raised her family and helped on the family farm. Survivors include her mother; a daughter, Reta Goss; three sons, Wayne, Francis and Wendell; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

, 100, formerly of of Barre, died April 11. Born in 1897 in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, she was the daughter Jamis and Margaret (Souter) McGregor. In 1923, she married Thomas Emslie. They owned and operated Emslie the Florist in Barre and Montpelier. He died in 1964. She had lived in Vermont until 1989, when she moved to Indiana to be with her daughter and family. She was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ in Montpelier. Survivors include her daughter, Margaret (Mrs. Robert) Bracken; a sister, Maggie Booth; two brothers, Ian McGregor and Russel McGregor; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

He received his education in Canadian schools and worked as a logger with his family in New York state. In 1938, he married Cecile Laquerre. They moved to Graniteville in 1939 where he was a trade carpenter for Vermette Construction Co. and for Lague Construction Co. He became night watchman at Rock of Ages plant, retiring from there. He was a member of St. Sylvester Church. Survivors include his wife; a son, Roger; three daughters, Nancy Trottier, Nicole Trottier-Sweet and Micheline Trottier; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Later she was employed at the Vermont State Hospital, retiring in 1970. She graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy and the University of Vermont with a bachelor of science degree in education. In 1940, she married Edward Ramon, who died in 1986. She taught in South Hero, Montpelier, Colchester and Barre Town. She was fourth grade teacher at Mathewson Graded School for 25 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Monica Church. Survivors include two sons, Timothy and Charles; a daughter, Mary Pat Ramon; four grandchildren; and a nephew.

She had been employed by the National Spring Clip Co. In 1937, she married Robert O'Grady. She later was employed by the Reddy Plastic Co. in Montpelier, retiring in 1974. She was a member of St. Augustine Church. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Michael and Robert; a grandson; a sister.

, 82, formerly of East Barre, died April 9. Born in 1914 in East Barre, he was the son of Henry and Anna (Gavin) Pruneau. He grew up in Websterville and attended the Lower Websterville School and graduated from Spaulding High School. In 1937, he married Gabrielle Begin. During WWII, he traveled for the U.S. War Department. He was involved in the sale and service of construction machinery and equipment, working throughout the U.S. and parts of Central America. He established and operated the Truck and Concrete Equipment Co. in Akron, Ohio, retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Hudson, Ohio. Survivors include his wife; his daughter, Elaine (Mrs. Kenneth) Monson; two grandchildren; two brothers; one sister; nieces and nephews.

, 71, of Northfield, died April 16. Born in St. Johnsbury in 1925, he was the son of George and Catherine (Groslouis) Marcotte and attended schools there. He joined the Navy in 1943, serving during WWII. In 1960, he married Mildred Willey, who died in February of this year. He was a plumber having been employed by Jennett's Plumbing & Heating and later establishing his own company, Marcotte & Sons Plumbing & Heating of Northfield. He retired in 1992. Survivors include three sons, John, Bernard and Frank; three daughters, Cynthia Marcotte, Stephanie Doherty and Tammy Surprise; two brothers; five sisters; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In 1986, she married Timothy Lee Lyman. She was a nurses' aide at Brookside Nursing Home and had worked at Split Ballbearing in Lebanon, N.Y. He attended schools in Montpelier, graduating from Montpelier High School and attended Montpelier Seminary. In 1940, he married Marion Kynoch. He owned and operated Roya's Esso Station in Barre and also worked as a carpenter for 35 years. He was a deputy sheriff in Montpelier and belonged to the National Guard for several years. Survivors include his wife; a son, Gerald; a daughter, Kathryn Martin; two brothers; a sister; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
