, 76, formerly of Northfield Falls, died June 1 in Port Charlotte, FL. Born in 1921 in Cambridge, he was the son of Col. Dan Randall and Gertrude Randall. He had lived in Montpelier and Northfield Falls, before moving to Florida a year ago. He was employed by Green Mountain Power Corp. and treasurer of the Green Mountain Power Company Credit Union, an organization he founded. He served with the 897th Signal Corps and Army Air Corps. Survivors include his wife, Julia; four sons, Timothy, John, Asa and David; two daughters, Eva Ann and Linda Melendy; two brothers; four sisters; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

, 63, of Barre, died June 2. Born in 1934 in Northfield, she was the daughter of Leo and Rose (Marceau) Morel. She was educated in St. Monica School and attended Spaulding High School. She was a member of St. Monica Church. Survivors include her husband, Wilfred Laprade; two daughter, Debra Ricer and Lorena Laprade; five grandchildren; her mother; two brothers; four sisters; nieces and nephews.

, 91, formerly of Barre, died May 30. Born in 1906 in Grand Rapids, MI, she was the daughter of Glenn and Nellie (Cilley) Clough. She attended schools in Grand Rapids and later moved to Detroit. In 1923, she married Horace Lavigne. They moved to Barre in 1935. She studied hairdressing in New York City and worked with her husband at Verna's Beauty Salon in Barre until 1980. Mr. Lavigne died in 1980 and she moved back to Grand Rapids in 1983. She was a former member of St. Monica Church. Survivors include a cousin, Faye Schultheiss; several second cousins; nieces and nephews.

, 92, of Montpelier, died June 4. Born in 1905 in Wilton, Maine, she was the daughter of Ernest and Dora (Green) Gould. She and her husband, Earl, moved to Montpelier from Bangor, Maine. Mr. Burke died in 1988. Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Bean; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

, 86, formerly of Wolcott, died June 5. Born in 1910 in Wolcott, he was the son of Bert and Ethel (Pike) Potter. He graduated from Hardwick Academy. In 1935, he married Pauline Willey. He had a long career in law enforcement, serving in the Vermont Highway Patrol and as chief of police in Rutland. He attended FBI Academy, graduating in 1943 and becoming an investigator for the National Auto Theft Bureau. He was fire investigator for the Vermont State Police, sheriff of Washington County and was employed by the state of Vermont as executive director of Vermont Law Enforcement Training Council. He retired in 1975. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Northfield. Survivors include his wife; two sons, David and Randall; two sisters; a brother; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

, 78, of East Montpelier, died June 6. Born in 1919 in East Topsham, she was the daughter of Fred and Mary (Butterfield) Rowland. She received her early education in East Corinth and graduated from Bradford Academy and from Lyndon Normal School. In 1942, she married Stanley Lee Christiansen. She taught elementary school in Williamstown, Brookfield, Vershire, East Montpelier Center. She returned to college and obtained a bachelor's degree from Goddard College. She retired in 1984. She was a member of the Old Brick Church. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Stanley, Kristen and Andrew; nine grandchildren.

, 86, of Brookfield, died June 6. Born in 1910 in Concord, she was the daughter of Hugo and Clara (Johnson) Lindgren. She attended Concord schools and graduated from Concord High School. In 1935, she married John L. Withrow, who died in 1974. She had worked at the Fork Shop Restaurant until 1986 and was employed by Concord Electric Co. as office manager until her retirement. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Randolph. Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Dunn and Jacalin Wilder; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a niece and two nephews.

, 94, formerly of Barre, died June 8. Born in Carrara, Italy in 1902, she was the daughter of Napoleon and Adela (Padroni) Benedini. The family moved to South Ryegate in 1921. In 1924, she married Adolfo Calcagni, who died in 1963. She worked as a seamstress at Barre City Hospital and later at Central Vermont Medical Center. She was a member of Hedding United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Alfred; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a stepbrother; nieces, nephews and cousins.

, 90, of Northfield, died June 5. Born in 1906 in Salamanca, N.Y., he was the son of Victor and Jennie (Prusinowski) Johnson. He was educated in Buffalo schools and received degrees from the University of New York at Buffalo and the University of Michigan. He served as head librarian at Norwich University. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII. In 1941, he married Margory Zeilman, who died in 1982. The Johnsons were active in outdoor activities and hiked the entire Long Trail of Vermont and climbed all the peaks of New England.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Elaine Pelkey and Karen Love; two sons, Charles and Kenneth; four grandchildren; her stepmother, Annette Grenon; a sister; two step-brothers; nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Wanda Lee Lawrence; a son, Ralph Jr.; four grandchildren; four adopted grandchildren; six brothers; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He lived most of his life in Westfield (MA) and graduated from Westfield High School. He continued his education at Cheshire Academy and attended Cornell University and Bates College. He served with the U.S. Army in Alaska. He was president of Warner Supply Co. in Westfield, and of Warner-Turner Supply Co. in Barre, retiring in 1995. , 85, of Waterbury, died June 11. Born in 1911 in Huntington, she was the daughter of Charles and Bertha (Haskins) Dwire. In 1931, she married Col. Rex W. Morse, who died in 1956. They had operated Morse's Taxi Service in Waterbury. They raised two nephews, David and Donald Morse. Survivors include three sisters, Vasta Crozzoli, Margaret Smail and Marion Gokey; nieces and nephews.

She and her husband, Guy E. Harrington, lived in St. Petersburg, FL, where she attended the Congregational Church. Mr. Harrington died last year and a son Stanford Harrington, is also deceased. Survivors include three grandchildren, Barbara Harrington LaFerier, Sara Harrington and David Harrington; four great-grandchildren.

She received her early education in East Roxbury schools and graduated from Northfield High School. In 1943, she married Burton Sanders. She was employed at Northfield Wood Products and was police dispatcher for Northfield. She was also employed at Norwich University retiring in the mid-1980s. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Charles and Rockland; three daughters, Diane (Mrs. Allen) Chamberlin, Stacy Sanders and Trudy Jo (Mrs. Leslie) Daniels; three brothers; a sister; 13 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
