, 84, of Montpelier, died Dec. 30. Born in 1912 in Waterbury, she was the daughter of Elmer and Mary (Bressette) Foster. She attended schools in Waterbury. She worked at the Waterbury Hotel as a housekeeper and at the Capital Building Cafeteria, Department of Employment Security cafeteria and later at the Lobster Pot restaurant. Her husband, Oliver Pecor, is deceased. Survivors include three sons, Roger, Rodney and Douglas; one daughter, Gloria O'Neill; two step-daughters, Irene Conzensa and Betty Waits; 15 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters.

, 94, of South Barre, died Dec. 27. Born in 1902 in Rouses Point, N.Y., she was the daughter of William and Mary Louise (Carpenter) Stacy. She attended schools in Rouses Point. The family moved to Barre in 1914 and she attended school there. She was employed at the Homer Fitts store in Barre. In 1923, married Richard White, who died in 1961. In 1963, she married Roy Gregoire. She was employed at Sprague Electric Company, retiring in 1965. She was a member of St. Monica Church. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Delores (Mrs. Floyd) Cook and Arlene (Mrs. Allan) Christie; one stepson, Richard Gregoire; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

, 44, of Randolph, died Dec. 29. Born in 1952 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Donat and Beatrice (Hebert) Danis. She graduated from Burlington High School. She was a member of the Sts. Donatian and Rogatian Catholic Church in Randolph where she had been a Sunday School teacher and parish council member. She worked in several Randolph area offices. In 1974, she married Everett Rice Jr. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Brian and Kevin; two brothers; five sisters; several nieces and nephews.

, 65, of Barre, died Dec. 28. Born in 1931 in Barre, he was the son of Richard and Anna (Blais) Messier. He attended grammar school in Orange, and graduated from Spaulding High School. He attended St. Michael's College and studied for the priesthood at St. John's Seminary in Brighton, Mass. He was ordained in 1956 and began his priestly ministry at St. Mary Star of the Sea Parish in Newport. He also served in Winooski, White River Junction, Middletown Springs, Canaan, Burlington and in 1991 was assigned as pastor of St. Monica Parish in Barre. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Michel (Therese) Monty and Mrs. Raoul (Flora) Martineau; 17 nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews; four aunts; many cousins.

She had been employed at Montpelier On the Move, Community Action in Barre and the Richard E. Davis family in Barre. She also was a dealer in Avon products and Artex Paints. She was married in 1961. Survivors include her mother; three sons, Randy, Clifton and Brian; four daughters, Rose Perkins, Terry Perkins, and twins Constance Goodrich and Christine Goodrich; a brother; two sisters; four aunts; 10 grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

, 98, of Montpelier, died Jan. 2. Born in 1898 in Hartland, Maine, she was the daughter of Joseph and Altha (Coombs) Manson. She received her early education in Hartland, graduating from Hartland High School and attending Farmington State Teachers College. In 1918, she married Vaughn H. Reed. They moved to Montpelier in 1980 and Mr. Reed died in 1983. Survivors include one daughter, Arlene Fisher; one granddaughter; two grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She attended Harwood Union High School and later worked as a waitress at the former Starving Artist Restaurant in Waterbury and the Feed Bag Restaurant in Duxbury. She was more recently employed at Club Dallas in Waterbury and moved to New Hampshire in 1996. Survivors include her mother; her father; a sister, Donni Martindale; a brother, Sonni Martindale; a half-sister Tiffany Martindale; two half-brothers, Jeff Davis and Greg Davis; a stepsister, Jessie Marshall; a stepbrother, M. He was a chef for the Canadian-Pacific Railroad Company and the Brown Paper Company, retiring in 1969. He married Emilienne Roy in 1969. He was a member of St. Monica Church. He attended public schools in Hardwick, graduated from Hardwick Academy and attended Lyndon Institute. He later earned a degree in education from Lyndon State College. He had served with the Army. He was employed by the State of Vermont, first in the Department of Employment Security and later for the Department of Probation and Corrections. He retired in 1994. He was first married to Constance Hislop. In 1985, he married Lois Drouin Beaupre. He was a member of St. Norbert's Church in Hardwick. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Korrey Stevens; one stepdaughter, Judith Graham; one stepson, David Beaupre; one grandson; five step-grandchildren; a sister; an aunt and uncle; nieces and nephews.

She attended Barre Town School and graduated from Spaulding High School. In 1943, she married Harold Whitcomb, who died in 1974. She received nurse's training at the former Barre City Hospital and later attended the University of Arizona and Polk Community College in Florida. She followed the Unity School of Christianity. Survivors include her son, Gaines; her daughter, Deborah Whitcomb; one granddaughter; two half-sisters; a half-brother.

, 77, of Barre, died Dec. 31. Born in 1919 in Stanstead, Quebec, he was the son of Joseph and Alice (Coburn) Underwood. He was adopted by his mother's sister and husband after her death and attended schools in Canada, graduating from Stanstead College, where he majored in business administration and music. He moved to Hardwick and was employed as a photographer. He later founded the Country Store in Montpelier with his brother-in-law Earl Williams. They also operated Bi-Rite Grocery on Barre-Montpelier Road. In 1956 he married Eleanor Collins. He joined his wife's family at the Chellis Collins Furniture Store in Berlin, retiring in 1986 after the business was sold. He was a member of the Barre Congregational Church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Rebecca (Mrs. John) Brooklyn; three grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

, 72, of East Montpelier, died Dec. 31. Born in 1924 in East Montpelier, she was the daughter of Howard and Bessie (Stevens) Ball Sr. She attended schools in Middlesex. In 1949, she married Raymond Tellier. She was a licensed practical nurse and was employed at various nursing homes as well as the Vermont State Hospital. More recently, she was employed as a private duty nurse, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Waterbury Center Community Church. Survivors include her husband; two sisters, Helen Newton and Louise Hawkins; nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Spaulding High School and served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd (Episcopal) in Barre. He retired from New England Telephone & Telegraph Company in 1978, where he served as office foreman in Montpelier. He was married to Priscilla Pitman Ross. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert and James; two daughters, Martha (Mrs. Ralph) Knight and Judith Irwin; seven grandchildren; an uncle; and several nieces and nephews.

, 73, formerly of Cabot, died Dec. 30. Born in 1923 in Glover, he was the son of Joseph and Mary (Stone) Alexander. He served with the Army Air Corps during WWII. In 1942, he married Pearl (Whalen) Alexander. They operated a farm and maple sugaring operation in Cabot and later he was employed with Holsom Bakery and then for 27 years at Cabot Creamery. He had served as road commissioner of Cabot and as selectman and moderator and was a member of the United Church of Cabot. Survivors include his wife; his children, Gloria Clubb, Judith O'Brien, Joseph Alexander, Rhoda Triplett and Jill Alexander; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters; nieces and nephews.

, 87, of Barre, died Jan. 1. Born in 1909 in Manchester, N.H., she was the daughter of Alfred and Florida (Paradis) St. Cyr. She was educated in New Hampshire schools. She was a music teacher for several years. In 1939 married William Roark, who died in 1943. After her husband's death she was employed by the Remington Rand Corporation in Hartford, Conn. In 1960, she married Donat D'Auteuil, who died in 1985. She moved to Barre at that time and had been a patient at Woodridge Nursing Home for several years. She was a member of St. Monica Parish. Survivors include three sisters, Gracia Salley, Cecile Pinfold and Dulcina Goulette; nieces and nephews.

, 94, of Barre, died Jan. 1. Born in 1902 in Graniteville, she was the daughter of Peter and Matilda (Johndro) Dubay. She attended schools in Barre Town, Spaulding High School and two years at Goddard Seminary. In 1924, she married Fred Letourneau. They moved to Barre and owned and operated a grocery store on Brook Street. Mr. Letourneau died in 1974. She was a member of St. Monica Parish and an accomplished pianist. Survivors include an adopted son, Peter Jones; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

, 78, of Bethel, died Dec. 31. Born in 1918 in St. Agatha, Maine, he was the son of Stanislase and Alphonsine (Deschene) Chase. He was educated in the Maine school system. He farmed, logged and later worked for International Paper Company in Maine, New York and Vermont. He retired in 1980. He had lived in Bethel since 1975. Survivors include his companion, Edith Blanchard; two brothers, Xavier Chase and Willard Chase; six sisters, Hilda Foss, Rose Levesque, Theresa Albert, Albertine Boulard, Marie Livingston and Modeste Mudie; many nieces and nephews.
