Mattie Hale
Mattie Lynn Hale, age 46, of Calendar Brook Road in Lyndonville, VT, died unexpectedly on December 2, 2017.
Mattie was born in St. Johnsbury, VT on December 11, 1970, daughter to Neal Howard Allen and Bertha Mae (Conley) Allen. She attended Lyndon Institute. She worked as a Landscaper and could also be seen behind the Deli counter at The White Market. Mattie loved animals, gardening and long walks. She loved helping people and her kids were her life.
She is survived by her 2 daughters: Alicia Mitchell and her partner, Vincent Keithan, and Melinda Mitchell all of Lyndonville, VT; her 2 sons: James Mitchell and his wife, Joanne, and Nathan Mitchell also of Lyndonville; her companion of 2 years: Darby Synstad of Lyndonville; her 5 brothers: Neal Allen of Morgan, VT, Rodney Allen of West Burke, VT, Roland Allen and his wife, Charlda, of Lyndonville, Kelvin Allen and his wife, Anita, of Lowell, VT, and Jerry Allen of Lyndonville; her 2 sisters: Carol Downing and her husband, Martin, of St. Johnsbury, VT, and Paula Nutting of Coventry, VT; and 1 grandchild: Alley Dalton.
Mattie was predeceased by her parents: Neal and Bertha Allen; brothers: Everett and Robert Allen; a sister: Linda Twomey; and a grandson: Mason Keithan.
There will be a graveside service at William Dexter Cemetery on June 30 at 10:00am. All are welcome.
