On the 26th day of March, 1874, a few persons met at the house of L. M. Stevens in Jericho, and drew up and signed the following agreement:

"We the undersigned, agree to form ourselves into a Congregational Church at Jericho, and hereby express our desire that L. M. Stevens and W. I. Byington call a meeting for that purpose".
