Cole - Dow

Looking for information on George W. Cole, his wife Leonora (or Lenora) Dow,
her father John D. Dow and mother Mary Ann Dow
and and their families.

Leonora, Mary Ann, and George are buried
in Eaton cemetery, Marshfield, Vt, listed as
Leonora Dow 1865-1939,
Mary Ann d 8/11/74 (36 years & & months),
and George W. Cole 1856-1940
George and his parents Joseph and Nancy Cole
were all born in Vermont
1900 census puts George W. (46 yrs) and Lenora (36 yrs),
their children George L (15 yrs), Fred W. (10 yrs),
Warren L. (6 yrs) and Kenneth E. (1 yr) in Barnet town, Caledonia, VT.

Son George L'’s birth certificate (1885) lists mother's residence
as Plainfield, VT and father as farmer.
Birth certificates for sons Warren (b. 1894) and Kenneth (b. 1899)
list residence as Bradford VT - and father George as a blacksmith.
A 1918 registration of some sort, perhaps military lists Kenneth
as a student in Bethlehem, N.H. and his nearest living relative
as his father in Littleton, NH. A 1940 census lists George W.
then 84 living with son George L. and wife Agnes in Wellesley Mass.

Unable to find information earlier than that for them or their families.
Family lore is that of native American lineage
but haven't found anything to confirm it.
Thanks.
