KENNEDY Mark Woods is my name. I reside in Dane County, Wisconsin presently. Walter Brock & Sarah/Sally/Mary Nutter are ancestors of mine. Their son Isaac Brock & his third wife Isabelle Kennedy are also my ancestors. Isabelle's brother, Ronald A Kennedy, commanded the 5th Vermont Infantry during the Civil War, rising from private to Lt Col & (in modern parlance) "full bird" by the war's end. The Kennedys' mother was also called Isabelle, or a variant thereof. Their father might have been a "Rolland Kenedie" (misspelled "Rllnd Knedis," I believe, in the Ancestry.com index page on the 1830 census). AC census pages on them indicate that the father, whoever he actually was, had been born in Scotland. Ronald A Kennedy died in 1902 & was buried in Indiana. Isabelle & Isaac died in Pawnee, Nebraska. (Isaac, by the way, served in an Iowa cavalry regiment & was part of the Grierson Raid, on which a Hollywood movie was very loosely based.) Any information on the Kennedys would be appreciated.
