Thomas SHEEHAN - H. Jenks Studio

I have a family photo of my great-grandfather
Thomas SHEEHAN (from Canton, Mass)
and his wife Flora (MACASKILL - MACLEOD
from Gould, Quebec) with 5 of their children.
The photo has the photographer listed as
"H. Jenks Studio, St. Johnsbury, Vt."
and was probably taken around 1908.
I know that this family moved from
Canton, Mass to Anaconda, Montana
between 1908 and 1910,
but they obviously stopped at St. Johnsbury.
I am trying to determine why they went to
St. Johnsbury, Vermont.
Were they visiting relatives?
Was Thomas trying to get work there?
When was this photographer in business?
I will be pleased to hear from anyone
who has any information
to help me solve this riddle. VPeterson
