passed away in Newport surrounded in love by her family on August 10th, 2014 at the age of 86. Virginia was born in Newport Center, VT on September 14th, 1927, the daughter of Oscar and Fannie (Wilson) Larabee. She graduated from Lyndon Institute in 1945. On September 22nd of that same year, she married Warren Blodgett, who survives her. Together, Virginia and Warren farmed in Waterford, then moved to a farm in Irasburg in 1959. They raised six children of their own, as well as opening their home to many foster children. Virginia had many hobbies that she loved, including ceramics, painting, cooking, sewing and knitting. Any day that you went to the Blodgett home, you would be greeted with the delicious tastes and smells of baked goodies and homemade bread. One of her greatest enjoyments in life were family gatherings. In July of this year she was thrilled to have children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren from across the country at the Blodgett home for an early family birthday party for Waren.. Virginia is survived by her husband of 69 years, Warren; her children, Barbara Blodgett Russell, Dennis Blodgett, Shirley Moulton and her husband Dwight, Patricia Blodgett and her partner Gary Crosby, David Blodgett and his partner Susan Babineau, Neil Blodgett and his wife Christine, and by daughter in law Cathy Blodgett. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Jason, Christopher, Scott, Todd, Cindy, Nicholas, Corinne, Nichole and Neil Jr., and by several great-grandchildren. Virginia was predeceased by her parents, siblings, her son, Russell Blodgett and her daughter in law, Mildred Nault. A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 16th, at 11 AM at the Albany Methodist Church with a luncheon following the service. A private burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to the Albany Methodist Church or the Vermont Chapter of the American Heart Association.

, 88, passed away at her home on Saturday October 4th, 2014. She was born in Lunenburg, VT on January 20th, 1926, the daughter of the late Frederick and Lila (Nichols) Whitehead. Sarah enjoyed gardening, quilting, playing cards, and writing to her numerous pen pals. She is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Middleton and her husband Robert, Louise Miller and her husband John, June Ruel and her husband Bernard all of Lyndonville, VT, two brothers, Donald Whitehead of North Concord, VT, Allen Whitehead and his wife Ann of Maidstone, VT, three sisters, Hazel woods of Lancaster, NH, Minnie White of North Umberland, NH, Betty Turgeon of Wyoming, seventeen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Elmer Cox in 1980, her brother George Whitehead and by two sisters, Joyce MeMahan and Helen Wilson. , age 53, of Vero Beach, Florida, and formerly of Lyndonville and St. Johnsbury, Vermont, passed away at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. Richard (Rich) was born on March 27, 1961 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, the son of Larry and Gloria Durocher. He graduated from Lyndon Institute High School in 1979 and from Lyndon State College in 1983 with a BS in Business. He was a 3-season athlete in high school excelling in football, basketball, track and field and he also played in the Lyndon Youth Baseball program for many years. As an adult, Rich is well known for his exceptional contributions to the Lyndon Youth Softball program, helping to lead numerous teams to state and regional competitions. In Vermont, Rich was employed as a Territory Sales Merchandiser for 14 years at Hibbert & McGee out of East Barre, Vermont until his relocation with his wife, Lynn 4 1/2 years ago to Vero Beach, Florida. Rich was a dedicated Red Cross blood donor over the last several decades. He enjoyed watching sports (an avid Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Vikings fan), golfing, motorcycle rides, family gatherings and dancing with his wife, Lynn. He took extreme pride in maintaining his home! Rich his survived by his devoted wife, Lynn Daviault Durocher (of 9 years) and his parents Larry and Gloria Durocher; his siblings Barbara and her husband Maurice Chenette, Sandra and her husband Randy Amadon, Robert and his wife Rosemary Durocher , Raymond and his wife Kathleen Durocher; and his sister -in-law Diane and her husband Paul Rioux. She was one of four children born to the late Wilfred and Loretta (Lavigne) McClure. She attended Lyndon institute and then furthered her education at the Lyndon Teachers College (Lyndon State College) where she received her bachelor’s degree. She then married Leonard Gardner Sr. in 1956. Carolyn taught in the Lyndon town and St. Johnsbury school districts for years, and also ran her own quilting shop called “Mountain Patchwork” and another fabric shop called the “ Kiddie Korner” in Lyndonville. Carolyn had many hobbies; such as, Sewing, Quilting, knitting, and traveling. She was also very fond of Horses and bassett hounds. She is survived by three sons; Leonard Gardner and his Significant other Susan Wheeler of Laconia, NH, Richard Gardner and his significant other Diana Galvin of Spring Hill, FL, George Gardner and his wife Gisele of Sheffield, VT, three brothers; Leo McClure and his wife Joanna of Hudson, NH, Roland McClure and his wife Louise, Norman McClure and his friend Dot, her dearest friend and primary caregiver Rebecca Gardner, seven grand children, and several nieces and nephew’s . , 84, of West Burke, VT was gathered home to be with her Lord Sunday morning, August 3, 2014. We will miss and always remember her faithfulness to family, friends, church, and community. Gladys was born October 15, 1929 in New Britain, CT the second of five children of the late Clarence Orrin and Katharine (Rowley) Hosford. She resided in Newington, CT on the family farm until the age of 15—moved to Hampton, CT and graduated from Windham High School in 1947. Through a farm connection, she met her late husband, Dean Howard Goodwin, was married on December 10, 1950, and moved to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Gladys birthed five boys in six years, parented several foster children, and was affectionately known as “mom” to many a Lyndon Institute dorm student. She was a Grange member, active in local church communities, Sunday school teacher, Bible study leader, and prayer warrior. Gladys also loved to sew, craft quilts and wall-hangings, and host large food functions; she was also known for mean card games and playing the accordion. She held leadership roles in the West Burke Senior Meal Site and Sutton Freewill Baptist Church for years. Survivors include her four sons and daughter-in-laws: Mark and Holly Goodwin of West Burke, VT, David and Susan Goodwin of West Burke, VT, Ronald and Anita Goodwin of Newark, VT, and Paul and Betty-Jean Goodwin of Rutland, MA. Eleven grandchildren and spouses: Joshua and Tina, Ashaleen, Lucas, Crystal and Glen, Ryan, Shawn, Nathan and Joanna, Matthew and Tammi, Katharine, Laurel, and Timothy. Twelve great-grandchildren: David, Donavan, Josiah, Izabelle, Emma, Elliotte, Elijah, Annabelle, Ellaleen, Suniya, Hunter, and Hailey. Three brothers: Norman Hosford of Sutton, VT, Orrin Hosford of Torrington, CT, and Ralph and wife, Beverly, Hosford of Bushnell, FL. Several nieces and nephews. Born on June 2, 1948 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, she was the daughter of Reginald “Wayne” Blair and Alice Healey Blair and she grew up in East Lyndon where she learned to garden, the value of family, and started early on her faith journey. She met her dear husband Warren “Sonni” Gorham and it has been a half century of love ever since. She was as kind and as giving a woman as you could ask for. She gave unselfishly of herself, talents and resources. She gave to the youth via Sunday school and 4-H and traveled both locally and around the country instilling the values of gun safety to instructors of children. She was extremely active with her church, youth group and various activities, one dear to her heart was the Healing Ministry. Her home was open to any that had need throughout her life as they took on many people of all ages including foster children. She was an extremely active, caring grandmother, always instilling wisdom, kindness and Godliness with her unconditional love of each child’s individuality. She was predeceased by her parents, her son Steven, and sister Kathryn Blair and husband Bill Engelmann. She is greatly missed by her husband and her daughter Cheri, husband Richard Despins and grandchildren Michaela and David, her daughter Pam, husband Frank Grondin and grandchildren Noah, Kyaira, Isaac, and Elle, her daughter Joani and grandchildren Maya, Jacob and Gabe, and her son Brian Gorham, her brother Peter Blair, niece Jennie Blair and Sam James. , 76 of West Burke, Passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2014 at Maple Lane Nursing Home. He was born as Shelby Gene Jones on February 2, 1938 in Montcoal, West Virginia to Bert and Ethel (Queener) Jones. The youngest of 6 children - three older brothers; Herbert, Kenneth, and Ralph, as well as two older sisters; Dolly and Wannita. At the age of 11, Buddy's mother Ethel taught him and his brothers how to playmusical instruments, mainly the guitar. He attended Woodrow Wilson High in Beckley, W. Virginia. In 1953, Buddy left Becklyand traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee where, in 1954, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He served on the USS Wren from 1954 to 1957 and rose to position of Corporal. During Buddy's time upon the USS Wren, he contracted a severe case of scarlet fever that went untreated for a time, eventually causing some long-term effects. Buddy sang, played guitar, and eventually produced and promoted clients. He and his brother Ralph both became song writers, and had hits that were on the charts during the same time. While Buddy and his brother Ralph never actually recorded their own songs, their music was recorded and sung by various artists such as: Kitty Wells, Marty Robbins, Janie Fricke, Hank Lockin, and Patsy Cline.Buddy also played with various artist such as; Eric Weissberg& Steve Mandell, Earl Scruggs & Lester Flatt, Chet Atkins, Jim Reeves, and George Jones. In 1958 he joined the band ''Toby Stroud & Jane, and eventually The Blue Mountain Boys, and The Rainbow Valley Boys & Sweetheart", as well as performances with affiliated musicians Wilma Lee and Stony Cooper. He made a deal with bluegrass entrepreneur and music distributor Caz Walker in Fitchburg. From 1959 into through 1970’s he frequently traveled from his home in Fitchburg to places across New England, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania,Tennessee, and North Carolina. Beginning in 1963 Buddy and other band members began to perform on radio shows, and local television programs quite frequently throughout the Northeast, including appearances on ''The Coffee Drinking Night Hawk'' with Lee More, a program based out of New Jersy, WWVA Jamboree, and WSTJ White River, where he would later sign with ''Vermont Records''. In 1962 Buddy moved to Quechee, Vermont where he married Bernicein 1965, then moved to Hartland. The two had a daughter Denise Marie. Buddy later married Marilyn Morale in 1981 in West Burke, VT. Many knew Buddy as a nurse at the VA Hospital in White River Junction, VT; playing in bands throughout the Upper Valley;driving for the blind; flea markets throughout the state; as the manager ofRadio Shack On The Mall in Lebanon, NH. In 2007, Buddy was diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimer's. After being cared for in his home for several years, Buddy entered into the Maple Lane nursing home in Barton, VT in June of 2012. OnAugust 13, 2014Buddy lost his battle with Alzheimer's, dying at the age of 76. He is survived by Marilyn Jones, his daughter; Denise Agee of Nika, MO, and his step-children; Allan Cowdrey of Hartland, VT, Colleen Hammond of Perkinsville, VT, Ralph Morale of Lyndonville, VT, Linda Morale of W. Burke, VT, and Steven Morale of W. Burke, VT. Buddy is predeceased by his parents Bert and Ethel (Queener) Jones. Three older brothers; Herbert, Kenneth, and Ralph, as well as two older sisters; Dolly and Wannita; as well as his ex-wife Bernice Hunsacker. A graveside burial will be held on Saturday, September 20th at 10 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Hartland, VT. All are welcome.

On September 23, 1944 she married Edmond Lamont. Mary and Edmond had five children. Alberta McDuff of Florida, Albert Lamont of Sheffield, Pearl Roby of Georgia, Dianne Lessard of St. Johnsbury, and Bernard Lamont of Lyndonville. Before her retirement she worked many years in area hospitals as a Food Service Supervisor. She was also a past member of the Kirby Quilters. She is survived by her brother, Francis (Butch) Williams of East Burke, VT. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 9 great, great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 4 brothers, Clarence Williams, Walter, Calvin, and Ernest Bourtell, and 1 sister, Perlene Thompson of North Haven, CT. At Mary's request there will be no calling hours. , 65, of Brownington, died peacefully August 15, 2014. He was born May 2, 1949 in Burlington to Gabriel Andrew LaRose and Flora Louise Shepard, who predeceased him. Around 8 years of age, young Bobby was removed from his home because he wasn’t safe, and began his 37 year odyssey of living in institutions and group homes. Just before his 35th birthday while living in Colbyville, VT, Bobby was sent to the Vermont State Hospital in Waterbury. There he met Bethany Knight, then the long term care ombudsman. Thus began a lifelong friendship with Bethany, her son, Elliot Kaiman, their friends and family. When Bethany and Thurmond Knight moved from Montpelier to Glover in 1994, Rocky hitchhiked to the Kingdom and declared he wanted his own apartment. Thanks to the courage and kindness of landlords Dr. Judy and Stan Dunklee, Rocky moved into his first home on Elm Street in Barton. He lived a 20 year adventure in the Northeast Kingdom, well supported by the loyal staff at Northeast Kingdom Human Services, in particular, Deb Cogan and crew. With the support of mental health workers, Rocky took his first plane trip, spending a week in Orlando, Florida and touring Disney World. He was also a member of many churches, most recently the River of Life in Brownington and Life in Christ in Newport, where he always appreciated the fellowship, coffee and donuts. The last three years of his life, Rocky lived with Marcia and the late Arthur Pepin of Brownington. Spending time with Arthur’s beautiful draft horses gave Rocky great purpose and pleasure. He is survived by his adopted mother and father, Bethany and Thurmond Knight of Glover; grandparents Roger and Kay Greeley of Marquette, Michigan; brother Elliot Kaiman and his wife Alison Brodhagen of Madison, CT; sister Chelsea Knight of Brooklyn, NY; nephews Malcolm and Otto Kaiman and all the other fortunate folks he met throughout his life. A public Celebration of Rocky’s Life will be held at 11:30 a.m., September 25 in the state conference room of the Hebard Building in Newport, prior to the weekly gathering of Global Campus. Per Rocky’s wishes a burial will take place at a small graveyard on the Knight’s property in Glover.

While living there she was active in her church and enjoyed singing in the Choir. She was born January 17, 1927 in Montpelier, Vermont, the daughter of the late Thomas and Madelyne (Hollingshead) Blow. Although Patricia spent her earliest years in Montpelier and Ontario, Canada, most of her childhood was spent on Pleasant Street in St. Johnsbury. After graduating from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1945, she worked as a telephone operator for New England Telephone. She married Arnold William Russell in 1947, who pre-deceased her by exactly 11 years. They resided for many years on Bible Hill in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, before retiring to Sheffield, Vermont. Along with her husband and parents, Patricia is pre-deceased by her sister, D’Anne Hamel. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Linda and Fred MacKenzie of Colchester, Richard and Debbie Russell of Sheffield, Tim and Kim Russell of St. Johnsbury, Erin Davis of Lyndonville, and Holly Rouelle of Williston; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three sister-in-laws; and several nieces and nephews. The family moved to Windsor, VT when Tink was a young girl. It was in Windsor that she attended Windsor Grammar School, graduated from Windsor High School in 1946, and graduated from Mary Fletcher Hospital School of Nursing in 1949 with a RN degree. Tink worked at Mary Fletcher Hospital in Burlington, VT, Darling Inn in Lyndonville VT, and Pine Knoll Nursing Home in Lyndonville, VT. In 1975 Bob and Tink moved from Burlington to Lyndonville, VT. Tink was predeceased by her father, mother, sister Muriel, and her brother John. returned to heaven, her spirit ascending peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2014, surrounded by her loving children. Joyce was born the second child of Murdo Angus Smith and Marion Morrison Smith on May 25, 1932, in Cabot, Vt. The family moved multiple times throughout her childhood as her father worked hard through the Depression era, securing jobs in farming and on the railroad. Her mother's ability to feed, clothe, and make the resources stretch for her family lent a resourcefulness that Joyce learned from and used throughout her life while caring for herself, her own family and those she extended help to. Joyce attended many different schools, from Walden to Lyndonville, graduating from Danville High School in 1952. She often said her favorite teacher was Mrs. Walsh from Danville, Vt. Following high school she worked at Glovers in St. Johnsbury, Vt., saving to buy her first car. In 1955, Joyce married Robert J. Drummond and they had a family of five children together. Motherhood was a natural and comfortable calling for her and her children can attest to the example she set of unconditional love, giving and caring, asking not much in return and receiving that love back ten fold. Joyce still moved periodically due to her husband's work, settling in West Danville, Vt., in 1966 in a home she loved and was proud of. Her children loved it too because it was truly our home where all were welcomed and many memorable family gatherings took place. Joyce was always happy to have her children's friends in the home and she formed a special bond with Pamela Webster who is thought of as her "adoptive daughter." Later, as her children started leaving home, Joyce worked at Cabot Creamery in Cabot, Vt., for 13 years as a Certified Lab Technician. She enjoyed this job and the many friends and associates she had during this time in her life. Before retirement, she worked at Laverdiers and Rite Aid in Lyndonville, Vt., making her home at Lyndon Terrace. Joyce lived for several years in Walden with her daughter Vicki and family, ultimately moving into Grafton County Nursing Home in 2010 with her care entrusted to the professional and caring staff of this facility. She had endured and overcame many physical challenges in her life with the ultimate challenge of Alzheimer's disease taking command of her last years. Joyce became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1963. Her testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ grew and remained strong as she taught the gospel to children and worked with the sisters in various capacities of service. Her treasured and lasting friendship with her best friend Carolyn French began with their association through church. We know that Joyce's greatest joy now is in joining her loved ones who predeceased her: two children, infant son David and daughter Sylvia Morgan who passed in 2005, also her parents, her three brothers Murdo ("Sonny") Smith, Fred Smith, and Gerald Smith, sister-in-law Betty Smith, brother-in-law Thomas Buck, nephew David Smith, and 10 brothers and sisters who were born to Murdo A. Smith and his first wife Rose Labrecque. Survivors include: daughters: Vicki and Steven Davis of Walden, Kathleen and Jackson Mitchell of Lyndonville, Pamela Webster of Hurricane, Utah; sons: James and Linda Drummond of Bethlehem, N.H., Robert and Tania Drummond of Littleton, N.H.; her dear sister, Virginia Buck of Lyndonville; sisters-in-law: Irene Smith of Lyndonville and Delores Smith of Stratford, Conn.; grandchildren: Beau, Jenness, Jeffrey, James, Krysta and Kayla Davis, Jacqueline and Tanner Drummond, Joshua Drummond, Justin, Jessie, and Jason Morgan, Jackson Mitchell III, Darcy Labounty, Wendy Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, Tyler, Samantha, and Alec Drummond. She also leaves 17 great-grandchildren, many beloved nieces and nephews and cousins and her former husband Robert J. Drummond Sr. A service to honor her life will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Route 5 in Lyndon, Vt. Visiting hours will be from 10 to 11 a.m. with services to be conducted by Bishop Barclay Tucker at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Grafton County Home Association, 3855 Dartmouth College Highway, North Haverhill, NH 03774 to benefit the social and recreational programs for the residents.

passed away at the age of 71. JR as he was known was born June 13, 1943 in Little Rock Arkansas to SM/SgtJulian Robert Stires and Nadine E (Rothermel) Stires. His father passed away at a young age leaving Nadine to raise JR and his twin brother Julian (Jay) G Stires. JR went on to serve his country in the Army National Guard and Army Reserve for over twenty years and took particular interest in marksmanship. Once out of the army JR shared his knowledge with shooting teams from all branches of the military. Having several occupations and businesses throughout his career he traveled much of the country and abroad. The Hebert family of Lyndonville, Vermont was like a second family to JR. He was willing to lend a hand when needed and holiday meals will not be the same without their beloved “big thinker”. Predeceased by his mother and father, JR is survived by his brother Julian and his wife Fay of Keene, New Hampshire,nephew Wayne Stires of Brattleboro, VT niece Julia Ann Stires Sacco of Worcester, MA and four great nieces and nephews. Upon request there will be no calling hours. A graveside service for JR and Nadine is 3pm August 16, 2014 at the Lyndon Center Cemetery. JR will be presented with full military honors by the Vermont National Guard.

of County Hill Road passed away early Friday, January 31, 2014 at her home following a yearlong courageous battle with cancer. She was 71 years old. Born on December 5, 1942 in Black Water, Virginia, she was the daughter of Walter Allen and Nell Frank (Satterfield) Horton. Gimpy grew up in Tennessee and was a graduate of Knoxville Business College. Until her retirement due to her illness, she was employed at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital as an Administrative Assistant in the Radiology Department for the past 14 years. She was a very loving person and was known for her hugs and her smile. Her grandchildren and her family were the center of her life. Gimpy was also known for her collections of trinkets and knick knackes. Her husband Francis Johnson Tay, Sr died Jan 8, 2000 and she is also preceded by her daughter Kelly Tay (2002), two brothers Jackie Horton and Tony Horton. , of Sutton, began her journey with the Lord on Saturday, February 1, 2014 with her children and caretaker, Deborah Baldwin, by her side. She was 90. Bernadette loved spending time with her family and friends, grandchildren and great granddaughter! She had a great sense of humor, a beautiful smile and always found the humor of any situation that arose. Bernadette loved spending time with her caretaker, Deborah Baldwin as they would often take little trips in the area. And these trips always ended with a stop at Ville Auto to see Mark and Lori and then on to the Lynburke Motel to visit with her daughter, Monique. She loved gardening and took great pride in her cultivated berries and apples. She loved spending time sitting on her porch with Dad, visiting with her neighbors and watching the Belangers hay the fields around the house. She was very involved with the Catholic Church and active in the Daughters of Isabella in Barton, VT. She also taught religion classes in Sutton School. She was born January 7, 1924 in St. Gabriel, Quebec, Cananda to Joseph Paquin and Florida (Gauvin) Paquin. She married the love of her life, Adolphe (Duffy) Felix Valois in 1949 and lived in Barton until they moved to the Underpass Road in Sutton, VT where she enjoyed being a homemaker, raising and taking care of her family. Bernadette believed in family values and passed the lessons of love and family to her children. She is survived by her children, Monique Valois-Ball and Chadwick Tibbetts of Lyndonville; Russell Ball of West Burke, Mark Joseph Valois and Fiance, Lori Phillips of Lyndonville; Grandchildren Mark Hall and Jenn Brooks of Sutton, Christopher Hall of Sparta, Tn, Brielle Phillips and Kyle Phillips of Lyndonville, Taryn and Tylor Brooks of West Burke and great-granddaughter, Trystin Bernadette Hall of Sutton; survivors also include sisters, Adrienne (Addie) Brault of Athol, MA, Denise Valley of Barton, Elizabeth (Betty) St. Onge of Wallingford, and brothers Patrick (Pat) Paquin of Mocksville, NC, and Bernard (Ben) Paquin of Wallingford. (September 23, 1941 - September 2, 2014) was born September 23, 1941 in Stafford Springs, Ct., the daughter of Walter V. and Goldie P. Sanborn Hartshorn. The family moved to Littleton and Bethlehem in 1945. She lived here until 1958, then To Florida until 1981, when she returned home. Joyce worked for many local people and the town of Stratford cleaning. She loved her work and the people. She loved the woods and her flower garden and feeding the birds. She also enjoyed NASCAR racing, especially #12. She has three living children, Vickie, Greg and Valeri living in Florida, and many grandchildren; a brother Walter "Jim" Hartshorn and wife Maryse; sister Jacquline Caires and husband Len and lots of nieces and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, a sister Jeanne, a brother Jerry and a grandson, Brian and a son, Jeff. There will be no calling hours. , 72, of Danville, VT, passed away at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, on April 11, 2014. He was born in Westfield, MA on August 21, 1941 to Jane (Oleksak) and Lawrence Wisner, Sr. Larry graduated from Northampton Commercial College and attended American International College in Springfield, MA, majoring in business. He was employed at Center Food Market in Southwick and Growers Outlets and Jumbo Food Stores in Springfield, MA before joining Curren-Crevier Food Brokers where he covered New England grocery markets for many years. Larry then joined the sales team at Procter and Gamble Company enjoying twenty years of New England coverage until his retirement in 1996. In 1963, he married Mary Somers in Westfield, MA and they enjoyed 50 years of marriage in Westfield, Allenstown, NH and Barre and Danville, VT. Larry was the boy's 4-H leader in Danville and the Treasurer of the VT Knights of the Road organization for many years. He enjoyed music and playing his accordion. Whiz loved traveling many many miles of highway journeys up and down the coast with Mary and appreciated his daily e-mail correspondence with his friends and family far and wide. He will always be in the hearts of his sweetheart wife, Mary, of Danville, his daughter Pam Vance and husband, Chris, of Danville, son Kevin Wisner and wife, Ana, of Staten Island, NY and daughter Wendy Gadapee and husband, Kevin, of Danville; grandchildren- Derek Vance of Portsmouth, NH, Alysia Vance of Manchester, NH as well as Brandyn, Kyle, Daryn and Lacey Gadapee of Danville. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Linda (Somers) Butler and husband, Arlan, of Athol, MA, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. A family gathering to celebrate his life is planned for May.
