Mary Jane "Jean" Van Pelt, 86, of West Brighton, Staten Island, N.Y., passed
away on Nov. 27, 2016. She was born on Dec. 1, 1929, in Bayonne N.J., the
youngest of nine children.
Jean loved to sing at parties and family gatherings. She enjoyed vacations in
Lavallette, N.J., traveling to Europe with her husband, Bob, and friends, and
also enjoyed Atlantic City and Monmouth Racetrack. Jean became interested
in antiques, attending auctions and estate sales for treasures. She was a
devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She was predeceaed by her husband, Bob (2001), and son, Robert (2003).
She is survived by two sons, James and Charles; two daughters- in-law, and
five grandchildren.
