Thomas Lowell, 53, of Harvey's Lake in Barnet passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 30, 2017.
He was born in on June 1, 1963, the son of William Jr. and Theresa (Lepine) Lowell.
He graduated from Lyndon Institute with the class of 1981. On June 28, 1986 he married the love of his life, Sandy MacDonald, at the East Concord United Methodist Church in East Concord, Vt.
Tom was currently employed as a machinist at North East Precision in St. Johnsbury and Village Industrial Power in Bradford. He was very proud of his boys.
He loved to camp, four-wheel, boat and snowmobile, something he enjoyed doing with Sandy, the boys, and all of his very close friends. Most recently he has cherished all the time he spent helping the boys start their maple sugaring operation. He also enjoyed the time spent hunting with his father-in-law and brother-in-laws.
He is survived by his wife Sandy and their three sons: Brandon Lowell of West Barnet, Ryan Lowell and fiancée Hayley Colby of Lyndonville and Trent Lowell of Barnet; his mother-in-law Ruth MacDonald of East Concord; Sandy's siblings, Steve MacDonald (Cheryl Stahler) of Waterford, Sonya (William) Boulay of Lunenburg and Stan MacDonald (Lori Sunday) of East Concord; his Uncle Ronnie (Bernie) Lowell and his Aunt Sandra Lynaugh and several cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, father-in-law Howard MacDonald and several aunts and uncles.
Visiting hours will be held at the Sayles Funeral Home in St. Johnsbury this Sunday, May 7 from 1-4 p.m. and will conclude with a brief prayer service. There will be a potluck at the Father Lively Center immediately following the prayer service. Family Committal services will be held Monday May 8 at 9 a.m. at the Lyndon Center Cemetery.
