John L. Liberty, 62, of Wheelock, died on March 13, 2019 at The Pines in Lyndonville, Vt., surrounded by family.
John was born on Sept. 10, 1956 in St. Johnsbury, Vt. the son of C. James, Sr. and Beatrice (Williams) Liberty. He graduated from Lyndon Institute with the Class of 1975, worked at Mardon Industries and later retired from Montgomery Wire.
John enjoyed hunting, fishing, car shows, photography, cruising around the Kingdom, 4-wheeler rides, Chevy products, western movies, and rides over Stannard Mtn, working outside mowing and landscaping, detailing cars, campfires and dogs. Spending time at the family camp was very special to John.
John is survived by his nephews: Jeff Liberty and companion Sonya, James T. Liberty, and companion Star, Thomas Liberty and wife Kelly, his niece: Susan and husband Scott Boulay; his sister-in-law: Shirley Liberty; his brother-in-law: Robert Kidnocker; many cousins and one very special cousin: Charlene Kutel; some great nieces and nephews: James and wife Heather Liberty, Nicholas Liberty, Matthew and wife Devin Liberty, Luke Liberty, Daniel Liberty, Mark Liberty, Olivia Liberty, David Liberty, Joshua Welch, Kerry & Bill Barber, Linda Lucas , Bobby & Pete Kidnocker; his special friends, Karleen Kelly, Brad Ingalls, Butch Williams, Terry LeClair, Cindy Cheney and Dan Gillespie.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Peter T. and C. James Jr. and his sister, Nancy Jean Kidnocker.
Visiting hours will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2019, from 1-3 p.m. at the Guibord-Pearsons Funeral Home on Main Street in Lyndonville with a life celebration to follow at the Breslin Center.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Lyndonville at 2 p.m.
