Terry L. McQuade, of Lyndonville, died Thursday morning, Dec. 28, 2006, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon,
N.H., following a brief illness, at the age of 51. She was born
March 4, 1955, in Newport, the daughter of Lawrence and Faye
(Urie) Valley. Terry graduated from Lyndon Institute, Class of 1973. On July 2, 1976, she married Charles R. McQuade. Terry
operated a day care in her home for the last 30 years. She was
a mother to many and was always willing to help others in
need. A loving wife and mother, she loved camping, shopping,
sunbathing, gardening, decorating her home for the holidays,
entertaining friends and family, auto racing and attending her
sons' sporting events. For many years she was a director of the
Lyndon Outing Club. Survivors include her husband of 30 years,
Charles McQuade of Lyndonville; two sons, Christopher
McQuade and his fiancee Jennifer Peterson of West Burke, and
Casey McQuade and his wife Amy and their son Carsen of West
Burke; her mother, Faye Valley of Barton; three brothers and
their families, Wayne Valley of Barton and his daughter Alicia
Tosi of Barre, Mark Valley and his wife Joyce and their children
Willey and Heather of Sheffield, and Randall Valley of Barton
and his son Ransom of Wyoming; a half-sister, Kate Eastman of
Maine; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many, many close friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Lawrence Valley, in 1981.
Friends may meet with the family Saturday, Dec. 30, from 4-7
p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday,
Dec. 31, at 2 p.m., at the Guibord Funeral Home with the Rev.
Patrick Forman officiating. Spring burial will be in St. Paul's
cemetery in Barton. In lieu of flowers, donations made in
Terry's memory may be directed to Books on Wheels II, in care
