FAIR HAVEN - James Everett Davis Sr., 65, of Fair Haven, died Saturday morning, August 27, 2016, at his residence.
He was born on May 9, 1951, in Lyndonville, the son of Malcolm and Laurencetine (Tulip) Davis Sr.
Mr. Davis graduated from the Lyndon Institute.
He was employed for several years at Ethan Allen and the Berkshire
Armored Car prior to becoming employed as a currier at the Porter Hospital for several years.
Mr. Davis enjoyed NASCAR, especially driver Jeff Gordon, hunting and
watching football, being an avid Chicago Bears fan.
He was a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Fair Haven.
Survivors include his son, James E. Davis Jr. and his wife, Jamie, of Savannah,
Ga.; two sisters Ann Gently of Orleans and Jeannie Blake of Lyndonville; a
brother, Malcolm Davis Jr. of Lyndonville; his longtime caregiver, Tracy
Pope; two grandchildren Jaelyn and Kaden; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Rachael Jackson.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016, at
Our Lady of Seven Dolors Church, Washington Street, Fair Haven.
Arrangements are by the Durfee Funeral Home.
