Kirby, VT Deborah Blair Gorham of Kirby passed away Friday, March 7, 2014 at her home following a lengthy illness at the age of 65. Born on June 2, 1948 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, she was the daughter of Reginald "Wayne" Blair and Alice Healey Blair and she grew up in East Lyndon where she learned to garden, the value of family, and started early on her faith journey. She met her dear husband Warren "Sonni" Gorham and it has been a half century of love ever since. She was as kind and as giving a woman as you could ask for. She gave unselfishly of herself, talents and resources. She gave to the youth via Sunday school and 4-H and traveled both locally and around the country instilling the values of gun safety to instructors of children. She was extremely active with her church, youth group and various activities, one dear to her heart was the Healing Ministry. Her home was open to any that had need throughout her life as they took on many people of all ages including foster children. She was an extremely active, caring grandmother, always instilling wisdom, kindness and Godliness with her unconditional love of each child's individuality. She was predeceased by her parents, her son Steven, and sister Kathryn Blair and husband Bill Engelmann. She is greatly missed by her husband and her daughter Cheri, husband Richard Despins and grandchildren Michaela and David, her daughter Pam, husband Frank Grondin and grandchildren Noah, Kyaira, Isaac, and Elle, her daughter Joani and grandchildren Maya, Jacob and Gabe, and her son Brian Gorham, her brother Peter Blair, niece Jennie Blair and Sam James. She will also be missed by a long list of family, church family, and many dear friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Lyndonville United Methodist Church on Church Street in Lyndonville, VT. Services to be presided by Pastors Matthew Bowles and Barbara Dwyer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lyndonville United Methodist Church for Youth Activities.
