Stillman Ray Parker, 69 of Lyndonville, Vt., passed away on March 1, 2017, in Fort Myers Beach, Fla.
Stillman was born in Lyndonville, Vt. on April 17, 1947 to Prudence and Francis Parker. He graduated from Lyndon Institute with the class of 1965, and joined the Army National Guard where he became an Expert Marksman, while working at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, Conn.
After returning to Vermont, Stillman worked as a machinist for several companies before retiring from NSA Industries after 20 years.
Stillman was a good man with a huge heart and a great sense of humor. He loved to coach baseball and hockey when his kids played, and was an avid spectator at his grandchildren's events. He enjoyed camping trips with friends and family, fishing and hunting, especially with his family in Bellows Falls, Vt. During their retirement, Stillman and Lyse began spending winters in Indian Creek Village in Fort Myers Beach, Fla. where he quickly became the resident handy man.
He always kept busy, enjoyed doing things for others, and made many good friends.
Stillman is survived by his wife of 50 years Lyse Parker, his daughters Renee and Michelle Parker, and Serena Parker-Thompson and her husband Dan Thompson, the lights of his life - his grandchildren Brennan, Camille, Carly and Carter and lots of other family and friends.
Stillman was preceded in death by his mother Prudence Gilman Parker Bissell, his father Francis Frederick Parker, his brother Francis James Parker, and his son, Kevin.
A memorial service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Lyndon Area Youth Hockey Association (PO Box 1241, Lyndonville, VT 05851) or Lyndon Youth Baseball/Softball (PO Box 1146, Lyndonville, VT 05851).
