Audrey Batchelder was born June 30, 1941 to the late Carl Hartwell and Ruby (Cole) Hartwell . She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Batchelder.
She had two brothers Stanley (Sonny) Cole and wife Edna and Armand (Joe) Hartwell (predeceased).
She is survived by her first husband Francis (Butch) Williams Sr. and their five Children Francis (Bud) Williams Jr. of E. Haven, Vt., Brenda (Williams) Gadapee and husband Steven of E Haven, Vt., Brian Williams and wife Wendy of Lunenburg, Vt., Jeffrey Williams of E Haven, Vt., and Lisa (Williams) Batchelder and husband Michael of Hernando, Fla. and stepson Jason Batchelder and wife Heather of Sheffield, Vt. She had 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson Ryan and her great-grandson Gabe.
Audrey graduated from Lyndon Institute class of 59. She also attended Lyndon State College and received an AD in business. She had many professions including a real estate agent, secretary and owner of an antiques and collectibles business, Treasures on the Green. She loved her birds, cats, dogs and just about any furry critter that wandered in. She loved gardening, tag sales, and flea markets. After a long day in the garden she would often say, it is beer oclock somewhere.
She passed away at her daughters home in Hernando, Fla. on Thursday, April 18, 2019 after her long battle with cancer and alzheimers.
There will be a graveside service in the spring at Howland Cemetery in Burke, Vt.
