JOHN: Mrs. Doris Mae, of Lyndonville, died suddenly Tuesday
morning, Aug. 24, 2004, at Northeastern Vermont Regional
Hospital at the age of 64. She was born in Suffield, Conn.,
March 30, 1940, the daughter of George and Gertrude (McKee)
Austin. Doris worked for St. Johnsbury Trucking Co. in the
computer department for over 27 years. Mrs. John enjoyed
crafts, reading, crossword puzzles and going to yard sales in
the area. She was always ready to travel and enjoyed touring
the backroads of the Northeast. On April 25, 1959, she married
Harry John who survives her in Lyndonville. Other survivors
include two sons, Douglas and his wife Barbara John of
Lyndonville and Michael John of East Burke; a sister, Joyce and
her husband Clarence Hardy of Orange, Mass.; two
granddaughters, Michelle and Danielle. She was predeceased by
her brother, Merton Austin. Services will be held at the Sayles
Funeral Home, tonight, Aug. 25, at 7 with Mr. John Sleeper
officiating; burial will be held at a later date. Contributions in
