Edwina Mae Corliss, 76, of Main Street, passed away at her home, Sunday
morning October 25, 2015,
Edwina was born on April 14, 1939, in Topsham, VT, daughter to the late
John E. and Beatrice Mae (Currier) Jenkins. She grew up in Lyndon and
graduated from Lyndon Institute with the Class of 1957. She married
Myron A. Corliss in 1958 and have shared 57 years together, living in
Sheffield for the past 50 in their home. She worked for the US Postal
Service in Sheffield for 30 years and was Postmaster for the last 13 years
when she retired. Edwina loved flowers and in her spare time she tended
her flower gardens religiously. She loved to go berry picking and didn't
mind driving her car through a thicket to do so. She was involved in 4-H
for many years, she was a foster parent and dearly loved her grand and
great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Myron, of Sheffield, her son:
Clifford and his wife, Rachel, of Lyndon Center, their children: Chelsey
Corliss and Cameron Corliss and Clifford's son, Eric Corliss and wife
Destiny. Edwina's daughter: Colleen Bowen and her husband, Ted, of
Newark and her children: Lindsay Miller and husband, Donald, Devin
Carten and husband, Matthew, Nicholas Thompson and 8 great-
grandchildren, She is also survived by her foster son: Timothy DeGreenia
and his wife, Janet, of Windsor Locks, CT their sons: Timothy and Tyler DeGreenia.
Friends may call on the family from 6-8PM Thursday, October 29, 2015, at
the Guibord Funeral Home, 15 Main Street in Lyndonville, VT.
Funeral Services will be held at 10AM on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the
Guibord Funeral Home with Rev. Ann Hockridge. Burial will follow at the
Newark Cemetery in Newark, VT.
The family will be having a celebration of life at the Town Hall in Sheffield,
VT, following graveside services.
