BEANE: Marguerite M. (Hutchins), 76, of Lyndonville, Vt., and
Brooksville, Fla., died Monday, March 1, 2004, at Oak Hill
Hospital in Brooksville, Fla. She was born in Washington Depot,
Conn., March 9, 1927, the daughter of the late Merton Dale and
Bernice L. (Patterson) Hutchins. She was a graduate of Lyndon
Institute, Class of 1945. On Sept. 14, 1949, she married
Douglas J. Beane. Mrs. Beane worked at the Lyndonville
Savings Bank in Lyndonville for 41 years, willing many positions
and retiring as senior vice president and treasurer in 1990. She
enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens, quilting,
sewing and golfing. Survivors include her husband of 54 years,
Douglas J. Beane of Lyndonville and Brooksville, Fla.; their
daughter, Mary Jane Russell and her husband Gary of Charlotte,
Vt.; two sisters, Marjorie M. Lacroix and her husband Richard of
Torrance, Calif., and Betty L. DeRosier and her husband Richard
of St. Johnsbury; her sister-in-law, Shirley Pierce and her
husband Linwood of Lyndonville and Florida; and nieces,
nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her sister,
Lucille Jenkins, in 1999; and her brother-in-law, Malcolm
Jenkins, this past February. Funeral services will be held
Monday, March 8, at 2 p.m., at the funeral home with the Rev.
Joan Vincent officiating. Spring burial will be in Woodmont
Cemetery in East Burke, Vt. Visiting hours will be held Sunday
afternoon from 4-6 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers,
