Wayne L. Provoncha , 61, of North Troy, passed away on Aug. 29, 2009,
surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 11, 1948, in Morgan a
son of Joseph and Myrtie (Woodard) Provoncha. He was a graduate of St.
Johnsbury Trade School. On May 22, 1976, he married Louise Cyr, who
survives him. Provoncha was a sander for Green Mountain Custom Finish
in Newport. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Wayne
enjoyed NASCAR racing, going to the races in New Hampshire and also
watching them on television. His favorite driver was #48. He enjoyed
making model cars, he liked old cars, he enjoyed growing flowers, and he
was an avid reader. Wayne was devoted to his family, and everybody who
knew him said he was a kind man with a big heart. He will be terribly
missed. He is survived by his wife, Louise Provoncha of North Troy; two
children, Kelly and Shawn Provoncha, both of North Troy; three brothers,
Stanley Provoncha of Washington, Dale Provoncha and his wife Sharon of
Westfield, and Larry Provoncha and his wife Carmelita of New York; three
sisters, June Provoncha of Florida, Madeline Dickson of Hardwick, and
Shirley Achilles and her husband Everett of Florida. He will be especially
missed by his little dog Travis, who was his constant companion. Wayne
was pre-deceased by his mother and father, his brother Rod Provoncha,
and his sisters Dorothy Hayes and Margaret Provoncha. He was buried in
North Troy Village Cemetery with military honors. Should friends desire,
