Victor R. Gauvin, age 65, of Marshall Newland Road passed away Monday
morning February 15, 2016, at his home following complications from Parkinson's Disease.
Victor was born in Concord, VT, on October 11, 1949, son to the late
Ernest and Veronique (Beauregard) Gauvin. He was raised and educated
in St. Johnsbury, graduating from the St. Johnsbury Trade School. Victor
worked in autobody for over thirty years working for several shops,
retiring from South Main Autobody around 1993. On July 23, 1977 he
married the former Linda D. Schmidt and have shared over 39 years
together. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish attending St.
Elizabeth Church in Lyndonville. Victor enjoyed working with his hands at
work and at home either on a current house or woodworking project.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Gauvin of E. Burke, his four
children: Michelle A. Roy (Cameron) of St. Johnsbury, Amy N. Gauvin of
Lyndonville, David J. Gauvin of E. Burke, Matthew P. Gauvin (Barbara) of
Lyndonville, his brother: Claude Gauvin of St. Johnsbury, five sisters:
Linda Gauvin of Bedford, NH, Celine Adams of St. Johnsbury, Pauline
Rivers (Ted) of Sutton, VT, Veronica Valley (Ron) of Nashua, Annette
Moulton (George) also of Nashua, NH, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three siblings: Paul Gauvin, Leo Gauvin and Teresa Valade.
Friends may call on the family from 6-8PM Friday evening February 19th
at the Guibord Funeral Home, 15 Main Street in Lyndonville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday,
February 20, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Church on Hill Street in Lyndonville,
VT, with Rev. Bernard Gaudreau.
Burial will take place at 10AM on May 10, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Lyndonville.
