Clifford A. Villeneuve , 77, of Symnoyes Road, Landaff, N.H., passed away on
Monday, May 29, 2006, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center,
Lebanon, N.H., following an extended period of failing health. He was born
in Hardwick, Vt., son of Barney and Carrie (Davio) Villeneuve. He attended
the St. Johnsbury Trade School and then entered the U.S. Army, serving as
a paratrooper. Following his military service he moved to Lisbon, N.H., and
operated Cliff's Sunoco Station for several years. Following the sale of that
business he went to work for the Lisbon Post Office as a rural mail carrier
from which he retired. Following retirement he enjoyed spending winters
in Las Vegas, Nev. He was an avid pilot, owning his own aircraft for many
years. More recently he enjoyed giving Glider rides at the Franconia
Soaring Center. He was a communicant of the St. Catherine of Siena
Catholic Church, Lisbon, N.H. He was predeceased by his first wife, Joann,
in 1993. He is survived by his wife Rochelle Villeneuve of Landaff, N.H.; a
sister, Mildred Jangel of Claremont, N.H.; a stepdaughter, Lisa Houston of
Lisbon, N.H., two stepsons, Roland LaCoss of Lyman, N.H. and Wyatt LaCoss
of Belmont, Mass.; three step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends
called at the Ross Funeral Home, Lisbon Chapel, on Wednesday, May 31,
from 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated this morning at
10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Lisbon. Burial will follow in the
Landaff Center Cemetery, Landaff, N.H.
