PAGE: Bernard George , 83, of 61 Steve St., Lyndonville, Vt., passed away at
the Pines Rehabilitation and Health Center in Lyndonville, Vt., Thursday,
May 27, 2004. He was born Feb. 15, 1921 in Newport, Vt., the son of the late
George T. and Lillian (Paige) Page. He attended school in Newport, N.H. He
served in the Army during World War II and served in the Middle East. He
was proud to serve his country. He worked for Fairbanks Morse and St.
Johnsbury Academy. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and taking his
special dog "Angel" for walks and just talking to family and friends. He is
survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary (Shaw) Page, whom he married July
1, 1961; and his special dog "Angel." He is also survived by his daughters,
Gloria Robbins and her husband Daryl, of Canaan, N.H., and Linda Martin
and her husband Dan, of Lebanon, N.H.; his sister, Bernice Perry, of
Newport, N.H.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and by
many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers,
Harold and Lloyd; a sister, Beatrice; two half-brothers, William and Austin
Farwell; two half-sisters, Mildred Goodwin and Blanche Gould; and by a
granddaughter, Meri Robbins. There will be no calling hours. Graveside
services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at 11 a.m., in the Lyndon
Center Cemetery, with John Sleeper officiating. Military services will also
be conducted. Those who wish may send contributions in his memory to
