Amelia Laura Harper, 47, of Concord, Vt. formerly of Florida, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018, at her sisters home where she was staying.
Amelia was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt. on October 6, 1971, to Dennis A. Bona and Lucienne Y. Therriault. She was raised by Marie and Jack Irons attending local schools and graduating from St. Johnsbury Academy, Class of 1990. She had lived in Kansas, Ireland, and Florida before returning to the area a few months ago. Amelia was an artist. She worked mainly in oils and painted many murals and storefronts. She enjoyed skiing, rock climbing, and gardening as well as interior design. She loved dogs having had many over the years.
Amelia is survived by her husband: Jason Harper of Florida; her biological father: Dennis A. Bona of Maine; her parents: Jack and Marie Irons of Arizona; a son: Raven Bona-Ide (Samantha Ferrato) of St. Johnsbury; step-children: Jason Lee and Meagan Harper of Tennessee; three brothers: Thomas Bona (Christina) of North Carolina, Stanley Young, Jr. of Vermont, and Kevin Young (Pam) of St. Johnsbury; a sister: Ann Settergren (Darrel, II) of St. Johnsbury; a grandchild: Faewynn Hawthorn Samadhi; her in-laws: Alan and Chris Santyl; nieces and nephews: Lea-anne Settergren, Darrel Settergren, III, Kurtis Settergren, and David Bona; along with many beloved cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was predeceased by her biological mother: Lucienne Y. Therriault; paternal grandparents: Angelo and Doris Bona: maternal grandparents: Robert and Lucille Therriault; and a brother: Robert Young, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 5, 2019, 12-3PM, at the Littleton American Legion, 2400 St. Johnsbury Road, Littleton, NH.
