On July 25, 2018, Todd William Neil passed from this earth and is now at peace. He was 49 years old. Todd was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., and resided in Waterford, Vt. during his younger years, before moving to the Mount Washington Valley in New Hampshire, where he lived for over 20 years.
Todd possessed a passion for living life large and to the fullest. Anyone who came into contact with him will attest to his kindness, generosity and constant search for a laugh, a joke and a good time with people of all walks of life. It is this zest for life that won Todd a wide, varied and loyal circle of friends from Waterford, St. Johnsbury and the Mount Washington Valley. To his family and close friends, he was dedicated and generous of spirit, a constant source of advice and support and doggedly protective of those he cared for.
Todd was a successful restaurateur, and working with his business partner and close friend, Adam Hooper, grew and expanded Tuckermans into a successful establishment, known and loved as far more than a place to eat and drink.
Todd is survived by his mother, Andrea Neil, of West Glover, Vt. and his sister, Angela Neil and niece Meara, of Sugarland, Texas as well as Heather Stevens and her son Ryan. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as friends across the U.S., too numerous to count. He was predeceased by his father, David W. Neil.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday July 31, from 3-6 p.m. at the Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway, N.H. followed by a celebration of life at Tuckermans Tavern on Route 16A immediately following. A graveside service will be held at Riverside cemetery in Waterford, Vt. at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Brain Injury Association of America, P.O. Box 7416, Merrifield, VA 22116-7416
