James Robert Greene, 56, of Railroad Street, St. Johnsbury, Vt., passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. Jim was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., on September 15, 1962, to Kenneth and Jane (Parmeter) Greene. A lifetime resident of St. Johnsbury, he graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy, Class of 1981 and worked locally as an assembler. Years ago Jim could be heard in dance halls and a variety of other local stops playing drums for the band Terminal Sound. He enjoyed fishing, barbecues, and hanging out with his friends. Survivors include Jim's son: Michael Greene (Jen) of Lyndonville, Vt.; daughters: Rebecca Greene of Island Pond, Vt., and Rachel Greene of Arizona; sister: Cynthia Mackin (Richard) of Berlin, N.H.; nephew and Godson: Daniel Mackin; nephew: Owen Mackin; several grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews; all his close and longtime friends including: Tom Reagan of North Concord, Vt., Donnell Dupuis of Waterford, Vt., Richard Villeneuve of St. Johnsbury, Vt., and Anita, Harry Sidney and Family of St. Johnsbury, Vt. A Graveside service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery on St. John Street in St. Johnsbury, Vt.
