Geoffrey E. Sachse , age 43, a Lyndonville, Vt., resident, passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at his residence. Born April 8, 1964, in Manchester, Conn., he was the son of the late George E. and Jeanette (Meisinger) Sachse. Geoffrey graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy Class of 1982. He married Alice Ruggles, Feb. 14, 1997. He was a devoted father. Geoffrey was a dedicated member of the Vermont Free Masons, a past master of Benton Lodge 88 in Guildhall, Vt., an honorary member of Crescent Lodge 66 in Lyndon and assisted other lodges through volunteering as needed. Geoffrey was a gifted musician and able to play any instrument he could get his hands on. He was a member of the American Amateur Radio League, and he was an active volunteer in both the American Red Cross and Lyons Club. Geoffrey was always ready to help those in need. He owned and operated the Burke View Bar-B-Que and was well recognized for his expertise as a computer consultant. Geoffrey is survived by his wife, Alice of Lyndonville; son Jonathon Davis and wife Christina of Sutton, Vt.; mother Jeanette Ware and husband Bob of East Burke, Vt., sister Stephanie Champney and husband Ted of Whitney Point, N.Y., two-step sisters, Robin Drinkwater and husband Shane, and Sarah Goodwin and husband Randy; step-brother William Ware; an aunt, Ellen Banks and husband Jim; brother-in-law Charles E. Ruggles Jr. and wife Debbie; sister-in- law Annie Shultz and husband Steve; sister-in-law Deborah Lee and husband David; sister-in-law Tammy Thorpe and fianc? Nick Palmer; sister-in-law Amy Ruggles and friend Joseph Leone. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as friend and business partner Richard Kinney and mentor and friend Raymond Clark. He was predeceased by his father George; his mother-in-law Claudette Ruggles; father-in-law Charles Ruggles, brother-in-law Michael Ruggles; and brother-in-law Gerard Ruggles. A memorial service was held Sunday at the Masonic Benton Lodge 88 in Guildhall. There will be a celebration of Geoffrey's life at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the Masonic Lodge in Lyndon.
