Cathy Helen McLam, 52, West Barnet, Vt., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at her home.
Cathy was born in Brockton, Mass., Feb. 29, 1964, the daughter of Edwin and Alberta "Tracy" (Luther) Nason Sr.
She graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy, Class of 1982. Cathy married Dennis D. McLam on Sept. 3, 1983. She had been the Barnet Assistant Town Clerk for over 30 years. Cathy enjoyed collecting dolls, sewing, and travelling.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Dennis D. McLam of West Barnet; two sons: Timothy M. McLam of West Barnet and Stuart A. McLam and fiancee Brittany Shaffery of South Burlington, Vt.; two grandchildren: Ryan and Lilliana McLam; her parents, Edwin and Alberta "Tracy" Nason of West Barnet; a brother, Edwin Nason Jr. and wife Robin of Monroe, N.H.; two sisters: Lonnie Sargent and husband Jay of Waterford, Vt., and Wendy Nason and friend Michael Bean of Bethlehem, N.H.; mother-in-law, Patricia McLam of West Barnet, and brother and sister-in-law, Sidney McLam and wife Joanne Maguire of
Randolph Center, Vt.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Calling hours will be on Friday, Sept. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch St., Woodsville, N.H.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 2 p.m. at The First Presbyterian Church of Barnet at West Barnet, 279 West Main Street, West Barnet, Vt., with Rev. Dr. Howard Gaston officiating. Burial will follow in the West Barnet Cemetery.
