Linda Mae Rogers, of New Braunfels, Texas, formerly
of Newburyport, Mass., and St. Johnsbury, Vt., died
at home with her husband and daughters by her side
after a nine-year battle with breast cancer.
She attended St. Johnsbury Academy in Vermont,
Bringham Young University in Utah, and Nursing
School at Metropolitan State College of Denver. Linda
worked at Anna Jacques Hospital, Amcare Ambulance
in Newburyport, and Denver General Hospital.
Linda was a creative artist who worked in many
different mediums. She was incredibly talented in pen
and ink, photography, and designing clothing and
jewelry. Her works have been displayed at the Air
Force Academy as well as published in various
academic texts. Her talents have been passed down
through future generations and her family and friends will forever cherish the
works she leaves behind.
Linda loved the mountains and felt a connection with nature. She enjoyed
spending time hiking, camping, and being with her family in the mountains.
Linda and her family loved traveling throughout the country and the world,
achieving her lifetime goal of visiting all 50 states and the Louvre.
Linda is preceeded by her father, Steven deCsesznak. She is survived by her
husband, Douglas Rogers; daughters: Shauna Wilson and Stephanie Evans; her
mother, June deCsesznak; brother, Steven deCsesznak; sister, Donna Martyn;
and her grandchildren: Heidi Wilson, Hannah Wilson, Jamin Wilson, Zachary
Evans and an Evans baby due in December.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 15, at 11:15 a.m. in the F.S.
Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley, Texas. Burial
will follow in the South Byfield Cemetery, Jackman Street, Georgetown. A
Period of visitation will precede the funeral from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
