Katherine R. Cooper, 54, of St. Johnsbury died
Thursday morning, April 11, 2013 at her
home with her loved ones by her side.
She was born in St. Johnsbury on Sept. 1, 1958, the daughter of Robert and Mary
(Grondin) Noyes Sr. Kathy attended St.
Johnsbury schools and graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1976.
Kathy loved people and worked as a meat
wrapper at Price Chopper in St. Johnsbury for many years. She then
worked for Moose River Publishers for a time and later worked at
Mobile Medical for several years, both of St. Johnsbury.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #58 and
the Elks Lodge #1343, both in St. Johnsbury. Kathy loved the ocean
and made sure to get a trip in each year. She also loved to go camping
and fishing, along with cooking and entertaining. She had an
infectious laugh and a beautiful smile.
Kathy is survived by her fiancee: Rodney Fillion and his son Craig
and their families of St. Johnsbury, her mother: Mary Noyes of St.
Johnsbury, a stepdaughter: Jackie Cooper Cote and husband Joshua
of North Danville: a sister in-law, Susan Noyes of Concord, N.H.: a
nephew Clyde Noyes of Concord, N.H., and a niece Nicole Turner and
husband Nicholas of Bridgewater, Mass; her special friends George
and Elaine Horne and their families. She was predeceased by her
father; and her three brothers, Robert Jr., Wayne and Kenneth Noyes.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist
Church in St. Johnsbury on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 11 a.m., with the
Rev. Fr. Patrick Forman the celebrant. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary
Cemetery in St. Johnsbury at a later date. There will be no visiting hours.
