Harry David Crown, 62, of Route 5 South, McIndoe Falls, Vt., died suddenly on Sunday,
Feb. 1, 2015, at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, St. Johnsbury, Vt.
Harry was born in St. Johnsbury on Sept. 20, 1952, to Lyman and Annie (Whitehill) Crown.
Harry graduated from the St. Johnsbury Trade School, Class of 1970. On July 29, 1972, he
married Kathie Gray. For the past 16 years, he worked as a truck driver for Carroll Concrete
out of Bradford, Vt. Harry enjoyed time spent at camp where he would putter
around and care for his apple and plum trees. He was a hunter. He planted and tended his
vegetable garden, especially his potatoes, corn, and loved cooking. He enjoyed sugaring with
Stanley and Steve. Harry's passion, however, was fishing. Harry was predeceased by his parents,
Lyman and Annie Crown. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathie (Gray) Crown; their children:
Aimee Farnum and husband Geoff of Northfield Falls, Vt., Jason Crown and wife
Sheri of South Ryegate, Vt., Corey Crown and wife Jennifer of Barnet, Vt., and
Lisa Crown and Jason Newland of McIndoe Falls; 10 grandchildren: Alex, Codee,
Alyssa, Michael, Madison, Aimee, Paige, Cora, Madison, and Jayden; three
sisters: Winifred Orr of Danville, Vt., Patricia Beck and Barbara Murray both of
Groton; a brother Lynwood Crown of West Charleston, Vt.; several nieces,
nephews, and cousins; and three special young men, Ben Adams, Trent Roy, and Chad Stewart.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 2-5 p.m. at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street,
Woodsville, NH. A graveside service is being planned for early summer 2015.
