Brenda Drown-Gibbs of St. Johnsbury passed
away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the age of 60.
She was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., on Feb. 22, 1953,
she was the daughter of the late
Percy 'Buster' Bonett and Dorothy (Larma)
Bonett and grew up on the family mink farm
on Mt. Vernon Street. Brenda graduated from
St. Johnsbury Academy with the class of 1971.
Brenda was a very caring person and her
vocation as a registered nurse reflected that.
She obtained an associate's degree in applied
science from a technical college in Claremont,
N.H., later obtaining her degree in nursing
from Baylor University in Texas. Brenda
worked as a registered nurse at various area
hospitals and nursing homes, Caledonia Home
Health, and most recently for the Professional
Nurses of America. She raised huskies in her
younger years. She is survived by her daughter Danielle Drown of St. Johnsbury,
brother Steven Bonett of St. Johnsbury, companion Vernon 'Sonny' Morse Jr. of St. Johnsbury.
Of her three marriages, her only child was with Lenny Drown.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Sayles Funeral Home this Wednesday,
July 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions could be directed to the animal cause
