Barbara A. Machell, 57, of Lyndonville, died on Monday, Aug. 3, 2015 at the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital following a brief illness.
Barbara was born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont on May 24, 1958 the daughter of Rodney L. Machell, Sr. and the late Lucy A. (Larocque) Machell. She grew up in Passumpsic and East Barnet graduating from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1977. Barbara was the manager at the Colonnade Inn in Lyndonville for 30 years and a member with the VFW Auxiliary where she served as the Assistant State Secretary for 20 years. She loved watching her nephews play hockey and baseball but drew the line at football. She was always one to give care to others which included her grandparents and later her mom.
Survivors include her father, Rodney Machell, Sr. and his wife, Vicki, her brother, Rodney "Buddy" Machell, Jr. and his wife Shelly of West Burke and her four nephews, Justin, Jake Ethan and Levi.
She was predeceased by her mother, Lucy (Larocque) Machell.

Funeral Services will take place at the Guibord Funeral Home on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at the Lyndonville Center Cemetery.
Friends may call on the family for visiting hours on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
