Anne Margaret Roy of Lyndonville passed away early Friday, Sept. 3,
010, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after being diagnosed
with cancer three weeks prior. She was born in Burlington on May 28, 1954,
the adopted daughter of Theodore and Belle (Vance) Perrigard.
Her father Ted passed away in 1990, her mother Belle in
the year 2000. Following her graduation from St. Johnsbury Academy
in 1972, Anne met Ghislain E. Roy of Norton while he was an Army
recruiter in St. Johnsbury. She and Ghislain were married April 30, 1973.
They spent the next 20 years living in the various places
Ghislain was stationed: Germany, Texas, Maryland and New York.
Anne was able to return "home" to St. Johnsbury; she and Ghislain
lived at the longtime Perrigard home on Central Street until they
bought their home on Brown Farm Road in Lyndonville in 2006. She
will be greatly missed by all her family. She is survived by her
husband, Ghislain, known as "Jason"; son Daniel Roy, his wife Yvette
and their children Kyle, Alesha, Sierrah and Elizabeth-Jane Anne;
daughter Rachael Forney, her husband Bert and their children Seth,
Hallie and Caitlyn; sister Alice Bishop and husband Joseph of
Waterbury; and Ghislain's extended family. A funeral Mass will be
celebrated in St. Johnsbury this Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at St. John the
Evangelist Church at 11 a.m. Fr. Dwight Baker will be the celebrant.
Cremation will follow the Mass. Visiting hours will be held at Sayles
Funeral Home Sunday afternoon 2-5 p.m. Memorial contributions,
payable to "Northeastern VT Regional Hospital" and marked in
Anne's memory, may be directed to Norris Cotton Cancer Center
