Yvonne E. Coolbeth, 68, of St. Johnsbury, and the widow of Gordon Coolbeth, passed away
Wed., Nov. 9, 2011, in Lebanon N.H., after a period of declining health.
Yvonne was born in Ware, Mass., on July 28, 1943, one of six children born to Francis
and Madeline (Lumbra) Brosseau. Gordon passed away Feb. 20, 2008, and she missed dearly.
She was predeceased by a sister Emily and a brother Charlie. Yvonne was a life member
of VFW Post # 793 Auxiliary where she and Gordon spent a great deal of time
participating in club and auxiliary activities. She was a manager here
in St. Johnsbury at the local McDonalds. She and Gordon also
frequented the American Legion Post #30 in Lyndon.
She is survived by two sons: Jay Matthews and Jennifer Dunham of
St. Johnsbury, and Scott Matthews and wife Erica of Bangor, Maine;
six grandchildren: Kyle, Abby, Kay, Brady, Brody and Josh; two sisters:
Theresa Reed of Lyndonville, and Carol Goodrich of Ware, Mass.; a
brother, Wayne Brosseau of North Carolina; nieces and nephews;
Gordon's two daughters: Darlene Hale and husband Jimmy of Danville,
Gail Bonnell and husband Bob of Florida, and all of Gordon's
grandchildren. Gordon's son Arthur predeceased her in 2006.
Graveside services will be held at the Lyndon Center Cemetery
Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 1 p.m. Mr. John Sleeper will officiate.
