Susan (Olliver) Begin, a long time resident of Bow, N.H., passed
away unexpectedly at Concord Hospital Aug. 8, 2016, at the
age of 72 while surrounded by family.
Susan was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., and graduated from St.
Johnsbury Academy in 1962. She then worked as an
Administrative Assistant in the Insurance industry. She married
the love of her life, Leo Paul Begin, in St. Johnsbury 52 years
ago. Susan's focus in life was her family. She and Leo raised
their three daughters proudly and always did the best for them.
Susan was very involved with her grandchildren's sports and
activities and attended these at every opportunity she could.
She had a close bond with her grandchildren and was always
willing to be one of the kids, matching their silliness. Susan was
well liked by all and was quick with a smile and sense of humor.
She will be missed tremendously by her family and friends.
Susan was the daughter of G. Edmund and A. Marion (Filgate)
Olliver. She is survived by her husband, Leo Paul Begin of Bow,
daughters Pamela Lynn Snow and son-in-law Sean Snow of
Dunbarton, N.H., Debra Susan Rahilly of Londonderry, N.H.,
Paula Marion Smuda of Concord, N.H., her sister Sharon
(Olliver) Heidemann and brother-in-law Werner Heidemann of
St. Johnsbury, 5 grandchildren and was blessed to welcome her
first great grandchild this past June.
Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19,
at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord. A
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday,
Aug. 20, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 72 South Main St.
in Concord. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Arthritis Foundation.
