PLAINFIELD - Philip D. Lee, 73, of Brook Road passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021, at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin.
Born on March 11, 1948, in Randolph, he was the son of Daniel and Hilda (Boyce) Lee. In 1966, he graduated from the St. Johnsbury Trade School, then he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served until he was honorably discharged in the early 1970's. In the late 1970's he graduated from Nursing School in Brattleboro.
Philip lived in Plainfield most of his life and was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at the Central Vermont Medical Center for 37 years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed camping on Lake Groton, woodworking, snowmobiling, sugaring season, deer hunting, fishing, and puttering around.
Survivors include his children David Lee of Plainfield, VT; Douglas Lee and his wife, Sharon of Winterville, NC; and Elizabeth Bailey and her husband, Josh of Waldorf, MD; four grandchildren; his brother Gifford Lee of Plainfield, VT; and his sister Pamela Guptil and her husband, Steve of Waterbury, VT; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at the convenience of his family.
