Pearl Anne Lamont Roby, age 67 of Douglasville, passed away
on March 12, 2016. She was born June 12, 1948 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont
to the late Edmond Leon Lamont and Mary Rose Bourtel Lamont. Pearl worked as a medical secretary
during her career and was Catholic by faith.
She will be missed by everyone who knew her-especially her
family. "Family is the foundation of our lives. In my family, my
Father is the rock...strong, solid, and unwavering. But to build a
foundation, you also need mortar...that was my Mom. I once
heard Randy Travis sing, "It's not what you take when leave
this world behind, it's what you leave behind you when you go."
My Mom is gone now, but the foundation she helped build
remains. Upon that foundation I have built a family of my own.
And when my daughter blows me kisses...something my Mom
taught her...from the arms of my wife on her way upstairs to
bed, I will smile, thankful for all she left behind"-Jody Roby.
Pearl is survived by her husband of 49 years, Arthur Joseph
'Pete' Roby; son, Jody Christopher Roby and his wife, Amanda,
of Powder Springs; daughter, Christine Marie Roby of
Lyndonville, Vermont; grandchildren, Madelyn Tate, Emilia
Roby, Sutton Roby, Dana Entrott and Samantha Giguere. Pearl
is also survived by her brothers; Albert Lamont of Wheelock,
Vermont, and Bernard 'Bernie' Lamont of Lyndonville, Vermont,
sisters; Alberta McDuff of Belleview, Florida and Dianne Lessard
and her husband, Edmund, of St. Johnsbury, Vermont.
In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and no
services are planned at this time.
