Parrigan, Patricia (Barrett), 69, passed away on November 9, 2015.
She was the former Patricia Jane Barrett, born in St. Johnsbury,
Vermont, and living in Louisville, Kentucky since 1969. She was
the oldest of seven children and the daughter of the late
Priscilla Wilkins Barrett and the late Roland J. Barrett in St.
Johnsbury, Vermont. She attended St. Johnsbury Academy in
St. Johnsbury and was a graduate of Fanny Allen School of
Nursing, Winooski, Vt and AD in nursing from Jefferson
Community College in Louisville.
Pat was always a proud and gentle nurse and loved what she
was doing for over 36 years. She was employed at Southwest
Hospital in PRP for 25 years in ICCU and TCU. She was married
in Louisville in 1968 to the late Willie Parrigan, Jr. She was an
active member of St. Peters Episcopal Church. Pat always
enjoyed her friends and so loved all her family and her dogs.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Willie Parrigan, Jr.
She is survived by her son, Charles Barrett Parrigan and "granddaughter" Danielle Feck of
Lexington, KY. In addition to her son Charlie, she is also survived by her loving Vermont
family; two brothers, Richard Barrett (Denise) and Ronald
Barrett (Mattie); four sisters, Virginia Saavedra (Dr. Joseph) of
Thurmont, Maryland, Jean Ashe (Alan), Kathleen Taplin, and
Judith Baurbeau (Allen); 17 nieces and nephews. In Louisville
her extended family, Gayle Allen and Joan Breman (Louis), a niece and two nephews.
Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peters
Episcopal Church, 8110 St. Andrews Church Road. Memorial
visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with private burial.
