R. Michael Moore of Brown Farm Road in Lyndonville died suddenly
Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, of a heart attack at the age of 56. He was born
Dec. 7, 1950, in St. Johnsbury, the son of the late Robert W. and Ruth M.
(Drew) Moore. He graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1969. Mike
owned Mike Moore Trucking and loved his work as a dump truck operator.
He was an avid outdoorsman. Mike enjoyed hunting but his real passion
was spending time on his boat fishing. He also shared many wonderful
times with his many friends and family at his "Camp 21" in Island Pond.
Those times made wonderful memories for Mike and everyone who shared
time with him there. Mike will be deeply missed by his family and his
many, many friends. He is survived by his wife: Deborah (Boland) of
Lyndon Center (P.O. Box 275, 05850); stepson: Matthew Hill of Lyndon
Center; one brother: Jeffrey L. Moore of St. Johnsbury (1220 Railroad St.
05819); three sisters: the Rev. Susan Mackay and her husband Maitland
"Bob" of Lyndon (P.O. Box 185, 05849), Sherry Stahler and Jack Savasta of
St. Johnsbury (2419 Stark District 05819), and Tami L. Moore of St.
Johnsbury (2419 Stark District Rd. 05819); one nephew: Ty Penniman and
his wife Leeann of St. Johnsbury; three nieces: Tineka Penniman Holk and
her husband Boyd and their children of Londonderry, N.H., Lori Fortier and
her husband Mark and family of Waterford, and Pamela Kinder and her
husband Jim and family of North Haverhill, N.H. Family and friends will
gather at the Guibord Funeral Home on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. A
celebration of his life is planned for January and will be announced at a
later date. Memorial contributions could be directed to either: "Michael
