Dayne Rae Buck, of Lyndon Center, died at her home Thursday evening
June 11, 2009, at the age of 62. She was born Jan. 20, 1947, in St.
Johnsbury, the daughter of Chester and Margaret (Lamontagne) Buck. A
graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy's class of 1964, Dayne Rae later
graduated from Lyndon State College with a Bachelors degree in human
services. A child care provider for 26 years she operated Danni's Diaper
Den in Lyndon Center. She was also a foster care provider who enjoyed
helping and being around people. Sewing, knitting, quilting, attending
yard sales, and visiting the ocean brought her much pleasure. Survivors
include her best friend and companion of 26 years, Charles Roderick of
Lyndon Center; a son, Willis Hall Jr. and fiancée Tracy Warner of East
Ryegate; four daughters, Tracy Villeneuve and husband Richard of
Waterford, Geste Doyon and fiancée Steven Lussier of Newark; Lori Hall of
Lyndonville, and Meagan O'Hanlon and husband Donal of Longmeadow,
Mass.; eight grandchildren, Kryssi, Gage, Gina, Justin, Kaitlyn, Alyssa,
Tyler, and Taylor; four great grandchildren, Charley, Grace, Trayvionne,
and Keyshawn; three brothers, James Buck and wife Linda Ward of Sutton,
Thomas Buck and wife Virginia of Lyndonville, and David Buck and wife
Louise of St. Johnsbury; a sister, Debra Chase and husband Mark of
Littleton, N.H.; a brother in-law, Stanley Vilakis of Springfield, Mass.;
nieces; nephews; her extended family, Jelena and Greg Gervais and
children, Brandon, Alexis, and Brady of Lyndonville; and her loving dog
Buddy and cat Milo. She was predeceased by her parents; a grandson, Joey
Lamphear; a brother, Richard Buck; a sister, Beatrice Vilakis; and two
sisters in-law, Valerie Buck, and Elaine Petty. A celebration of her life will
be held Saturday, June 20, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Waterford Springs
Club House located on Birchtree Lane in Waterford. Donations made in her
