David R. Conner , 63, of North Concord, passed away unexpectedly
Tuesday evening, Oct. 20, 2009 at Northeastern Vermont Regional
Hospital with Lynn at his side. He was born in St. Johnsbury on Sept. 12,
1946, the son of Gerald and Arlene (Moulton) Conner. He married Lynn
Chesebrough on July 9, 1994. Dave had a great love for Miles Pond and
was active in the camp association there. Many may remember when
Dave, Willie St. George, and Freddie Preseault owned and operated
Friendly Beverage and Redemption Center on Portland St. His last job was
as a dispatcher for Northern Petroleum. He belonged to American Legion
Post #58. He is survived by his wife, Lynn; his mother Arlene Conner of St.
Johnsbury; son Michael Conner of North Concord; daughter Kristi Lawson
and husband Jeremy of Sutton; two grandchildren, Alexis Lawson and Jack
David Lawson; mother-in-law Clarisse Chesebrough of East St. Johnsbury;
close cousin Chet Moulton of St. Johnsbury; brothers/sisters-in-law; and
nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather at Sayles Funeral
Home on this Friday, Oct. 23, from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held Saturday,
Oct. 24, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Military honors will conclude the
service honoring his two tours of service for his country in Southeast Asia
during the Vietnam Conflict. Memorial contributions could be directed to
either: American Diabetes Association, 1 Kennedy Dr., Suite L8, South
Burlington VT 05403; or Vermont Heart Association, 434 Hurricane Lane, Williston VT 05495.
