TWOMBLY: Christopher , 57, of Henniker, N.H., and formerly of St.
Johnsbury, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at the Concord, N.H. Hospital
following a lengthy illness. Christopher was born Jan. 16, 1945, the son of
Elwin H. and Claire E. Parker Twombly. He served in the U.S. Army for
three years during the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge.
He graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1963, attended Clark
University in Worcester, Mass., for two years, and received a bachelor of
arts degree from Lyndon State College in 1974. Chris worked in the glass
industry for several years, installing windows, doors and windshields. He
was currently branch manager for Capitol Glass in Hillsborough, N.H. He
was very good at what he did and was very dedicated to his job. He loved
his family very much and they loved him. He enjoyed being with them, and
will be deeply missed. He enjoyed reading, watching sports (loved the New
England Patriots!), camping, fishing and playing cribbage. Survivors
include a brother, Stephen C. Twombly; a niece, Carrie Twombly Murray,
her husband Mike and their son Kyler; two nephews, Sean Twombly and
wife Stacey, and Kevin Twombly and wife Heather; a niece, Brooke
Twombly; and a son, Christopher Costa. He was predeceased by his
parents and a brother, Elwin H. Twombly Jr. Services will be held later this
spring at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be
made in Christopher\'s name and directed to the Concord Hospital, Office
of Philanthropy, 250 Pleasant St., Concord, NH 03301.
