Miss Therese E. Houde, 78, of Concord, died at Concord Hospital on Aug. 21, 2018 surrounded by loved ones.
She was born in St. Johnsbury, VT on March 27, 1940 the daughter of Clement J. and Annette (Gendron) Houde. She was raised in St. Johnsbury and graduated from Mt. St. Joseph Academy in 1958.
Miss Houde was raised in St. Johnsbury and later lived in Warner and Franklin before before moving to Concord.
She was employed by St. Johnsbury Trucking and later as police dispatcher for Vermont State Police in Derby, Vt., Burlington Police Dept., and Newport, Vt. Police Dept. She was last employed as a medical transcriptionist at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in W. Lebanon for 10 years.
Therese loved to travel and travelled a great deal along the East Coast. She also enjoyed reading biographies, novels and making crafts. She always had a smile on her face and a joke on her lips.
She leaves behind her sister, Alice Perkins of Concord, a brother, Gerard Houde of Ft. Kent, NY,
and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Clement and Annette, brothers: Fernand and Raoul Houde, sister-in-law Mildred Houde, and nephew: Mark Perkins.
Private services will be held at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin.
