Thelma G. (Perkins) Baitz, also fondly known as TP, of Georgia, Vt., went to
be with the Lord Wednesday afternoon, March 14, 2012 at the age of 71.
Thelma was born on Aug. 18, 1940 in St. Johnsbury, Vt., the daughter of
Everett and Thelma (Hill) Perkins. Thelma graduated from St. Johnsbury
Academy in 1958. On Aug. 30, 1963, she married Gerald "Jerry " Baitz in St. Johnsbury.
She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and
grandmother. Thelma enjoyed spending time with her family and
friends. She had worked for Prudential Life Insurance, the Buyers
Digest and most recently at the Holiday House.
She is survived by her husband Jerry, her five children and their
spouses: Karl and Gloria Baitz of Vero Beach, Fla., Kristin and
Dan McNamara of Georgia, Stephen and Carol Baitz of
Waterbury, Stephanie and Noel Boutin of Westford and Jay and
Jessica Baitz of Barre. Nine grandchildren Angie Baitz of Fairfax,
Kyle Baitz of Williston, Matthew and Allyson Baitz of Waterbury,
Kurt and Keagan McNamara of Georgia, Ethan and Ian Boutin of
Westford and three great grandchildren. Siblings: Ralph and
Lorraine Perkins, Dennis and Carol Perkins, Arlo and Vicki
Perkins, Pat Perkins all of St Johnsbury, Helen and Ray
Touchette of Duxbury. She was predeceased by brothers Everett and Marvin Perkins.
A celebration of Thelma's life will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012
at 11 a.m at The Community Lutheran Church, 1560
Williston Road, South Burlington, Vt., with Pastor Jefrey Jenson
officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hope
Lodge, 237 East Avenue, Burlington, Vermont 05401.
Visiting hours will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at
the Community Lutheran Church.
