Roland Paul Marcotte 78, of Weare, N.H., died Sept. 3, 2012, at his
residence following a lengthy illness. Born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., June 1,
1934, to George and Catherine (GrosLouis) Marcotte, he was one of 14 children.
Mr. Marcotte resided in Monroe for most of his life having spent the past 19
years in Milford and Weare. He had been employed for several years as a
truck driver with Kilfassett Farms and a school bus driver for the Town of
Milford. Mr. Marcotte was a member of V.F.W. Post of St. Johnsbury, Vt.,
where he also volunteered as a baseball coach. He served as caretaker of
North Monroe Cemetery. He loved the outdoors, especially snowmobiling
during the winter months. He was a veteran having served in Korea with the United States Air Force.
Mr. Marcotte was predeceased by two sons Steven Paul Marcotte and
Timothy Marcotte, 5 brothers and 7 sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pauline J. Marcotte; three children,
Terry Marcotte, Theodore Marcotte and Tina Connor; six grandchildren;
and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Connie VanZandt and May Ogden; several nieces and nephews.

the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, P.O. Box 196, 104 Portsmouth
Avenue, Stratham, NH 03885. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
