Robert H. "Bob" Hill, 66, of Concord, Vt., died unexpectedly at
his home on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007. He was born April 9, 1941,
in St. Johnsbury, Vt., son of the late Robert A. and Hazel
M. (Morton) Hill. Following graduation from the St. Johnsbury
Trade School, Bob entered the U.S. Army, serving his country
for nine years. He worked at the Gilman Paper Mill for over 25
years and operated his own welding business for many years as
well. Bob coached softball in Lunenburg and Gilman for several
years. He is remembered for his cooking talents, especially his
home made French fries, and his sense of humor. He enjoyed
hunting and fishing with his family and always knew the best
places to go. Survivors include three children, Michelle Farmer
and husband, Alan, of Waterford, Vt., Anthony "Andy" Hill of
Waterford, and Matthew Hill of Lyndon, Vt.; his granddaughter,
Taylor Farmer; his brother, Ronald Hill and wife, Barbara, of
North Danville, Vt.; nieces, nephews, and many friends. Besides
his parents Bob was predeceased by his sister Joan Davis.
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m.,
in Grove Cemetery in East St. Johnsbury, Vt., with the
Rev. Sue Mackay officiating. There will be no visiting hours.
