Robert J. Donna , 67, of St. Johnsbury, passed away peacefully at home
Wednesday morning, April 26, 2006. He was born in St. Johnsbury on July
24, 1938, the son of Leo and Marie Louise (Poliquin) Donna. He served in
the Air Force in the 1950s and worked his entire career at Fairbanks,
retiring as a drafting engineer. A son Kerry, one of his four children, passed
away from cancer Nov. 9, 1995, a disease to which Robert also
succumbed. He was also predeceased by his mother-in-law, Yvette
Reeves. He is survived his wife Sara (Reeves) Donna (45 Donna Dr. 05819);
three children, Brian Donna and Tracy Noyes and their daughters
Tosha and Courtney of St. Johnsbury, Keith Donna of Farmington, N.H.,
and Todd Donna of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter-in-law: Valerie Donna of
Berlin, Vt., and her daughters Karen and Doris and Doris' two children
Alexis and Jillian; two stepchildren, Jeffrey Bean of Lyndonville and his
daughters Shannon and Kristen, Jennifer Bean and Norah Quinn of Barnet;
three brothers, Claude Donna and his wife Mary Jane of St. Johnsbury,
Roger Donna of St. Johnsbury, Normand Donna and his wife Susan of
Bunnell, Fla.; three sisters, Gemma Chaloux and her husband Gerard of St.
Johnsbury, Gertrude Turner and her husband Robert of St. Johnsbury, and
Dorothy Leonard and her husband Reg of St. Johnsbury; brother-in-law,
Timothy Reeves and his wife Polly of South Royalton, Vt.; nieces and
nephews; and of course his beloved cats Smokey and Josie. Services will
be held on Saturday, April 29, at 1 p.m. at the Sayles Funeral Home with
the Rev. Richard Phillips leading the service. Committal services will follow
at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. Memorial
contributions, marked in Bob's memory, could be made to either: DHMC
Norris Cotton Cancer Center (for cancer research), 1 Medical Center Dr.,
